Can You Beat Pokémon FireRed Using ONLY Normal Moves?

I'd have picked Charmander. It has the highest attack stat (by 1 point funny enough) and learns Slash. Slash plus Dire Hit gets rid of your problem against rock and steel types by hitting criticals. I came from the future to say this, you're welcome!

I know this video is years old but I'm pretty sure that foresight does also nullify type immunities as well. I think that's apart of one of the gimik challenge/puzzle disc's in Pokemon Colossem/Gale of Darkness.

Even though you can't go east of Pewter City before you face Brock, you could have gone just West of Viridian City as if you're going to the Pokemon League and caught a Nidoran in the first patch of grass.

I love challenge runs like this. When it comes to ghost types though, i make exception and allow myself to temporarily use bug moves against ghost pokemon so that the damage is always not very effective which i think is a valid trade off imo.

This challenge cannot be possible engine to cause of the 3rd gym leader

Hey, hyper fang involves biting and is stronger than the dark type move bite. So why isn't hyper fang a dark type move? I'm just now wondering that.
Hyper fang is my favorite normal type move by the way. I always get hyped when Rattata gets that move.

Hey, um... Why did you have such problems with Sandshrew in Brock's gym? It's not a rock type, only a ground type, and wouldn't have resisted your normal attacks, especially Ratatta's hyper fang
