Here’s why you should always write to shoot…even when you don’t have a dollar raised.

You’ll be more motivated to write, because you’ll take ownership of the project and put your full weight behind it. There’s a special place of pride a script has when you know that you will be involved in the actual physical production of it.

You’ll also be thinking more about budget, which is an issue for a $100K film or a $100M film! The sooner you can tone down your writing to meet the limitations of the budget you have in place, the sooner you’ll be a hit with your producers. Might as well start now!
