There is truely nothing like Swamp Life

I`ve been growled at by an unknown creature in Louisiana. We know the animals here. I have been a trapper, commercial fisherman, hunter, farmer, and outdoorsman for over 50 years. The thing that growled at me sounded like a giant monster and I have no idea what it was. The closest animal sound I can think of is the growl of a lion magnified through very large concert speakers with 15 to 18 inch subwoofers. (I`m a musician). My friend was walking down a separate fork on the muddy logging road and one growled at him too. I never went back to this area.

There`s a lot more food than shrimp and crawfish in Louisiana. Some of us have lived off these woods and waterways. It`s a great feeling to know nobody can starve you here. I grow food 365 days a year and the fish and crawfish are easy to catch if you learn. I had no money for two years a decade ago after an injury that left me unable to work and survived off fish, crawfish, berries, pecans, and my garden...on foot with no transportation. I`ve done this many times. I`m "high tech" now and have solar for my camper here in the boondocks (needed air conditioning after hurricanes) and have started growing some of my food indoors because of the weather.

Hmm. My son just reported seeing such a creature like this one up in Oregon. It stood upright, like a bear, but had long stringy hair. It really creeped out my son for several days.
