I remember the first time I was listening to this song, I had Taylor Swift on shuffle and I was looking at my screen. Didn't know the name of the song, so I didn't know there was a feature. The second Bon Iver started singing, my body jumped. And now this is one of my favorites from folklore. ❤

I spent 12 years thinking that she would be my safe haven forever. Thinking she was the right person. I lost so many friendships, but I thought she would always be here. But at a moment I realized that I was always the one who ran after, I was the one who demonstrated the importance of our friendship, I was the one who sent messages, I was the one who gave gifts, I was the one who loved, and I loved only. Because she only called me when she was alone, and when she had friends she forgot me. She has changed so much since when we were children, before everything was so much simpler, and now all she talks about is herself. She has become self-centered, selfish and cold, and never listens to me, even when in her difficult moments, I was the one who was there. I got into fights and was insulted to defend her, so that she would later side with the person who offended me. She is no my homeland anymore...so what am I defending now? And she can't say that she "never learned to read my mind" because I gave so many signs, and I'm left in exile watching myself distance myself from her to save myself from more pain (she was my chilhood besfriend).
