Yokohama, Japan: Y-SDGs (the City of Yokohama’s SDGs Certification System)

The 'Innovative Urban Finance Award' was bestowed upon Yokohama for its 'Y-SDGs (the City of Yokohama’s SDGs Certification System)' initiative in the 2nd CityNet-UNESCAP SDG City Awards. Toru Hashimoto, Director General of International Affairs, represented Yokohama. The city's innovative finance approach through the Y-SDGs certification system earned recognition for its unique contribution to urban financing aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
