I don’t understand. I’m using a sage, responsive ball bearing yo-yo I’ve got everything down to a science but as soon as I try this trick and I wrap the string around the yo-yo it stops and tangles the shit up, so how the hell are you supposed to do this with a responsive yo-yo? I can’t goddamn make it spin any faster. As soon as there’s more than one string width in that narrow gap against the friction pads, the yo-yo stops almost immediately.

For tricks like this, I like to use the unresponsive yoyo in the pack because it sleeps a LOT longer.

Is it possible with a responsive yoyo?

I cant do it on spinstar it imediately sucks it up even if i do one flip the string just turns and lives it own life

This is gonna take a while for me to learn but thanks for making these !

When I try to do this the more advanced way, by swinging the yoyo into the mount, I can only get 1 flip(sometimes 2) before the yoyo dies. If I do it the easy way, and place the string into the yoyo gap to get the mount, I can get a bunch of flips. I have been doing it with a one and a Dv888. I get the same issue with both. Am I losing momentum by swinging the yoyo over my finger into the mount? It's been a few weeks now.

I keep waiting for the humble brag or some kind of letting slip that it's actually easy because you're the world champ, but the humility, patience, and encouragement exhibited in this tutorials is spanking incredible.
