Whenever my family goes camping at Hills Creek State Park outside of Wellsboro we always like to drive into the canyon and stop at Blackwell and Slate Run and get snacks from the little store in Slate Run

Hotdogs are definitely best when they are roasted over a fire and eaten outside...they need to have the right amount of charring too.

Hi, a beautiful area to hike, everywhere looks so lush and green as we head in to Autumn/Fall. Thank you for sharing, that Fawn was so pretty, I hope you got some hot dogs. x

baby deer so cute....looked like he was wanting you to come with ..... but hot dogs were calling and to a hungry man, food has the strongest pull.....hope you had fun at the roast.

Cool. I grew up in Tioga county. Been to the Grand Canyon many times. Once carried my young son up the turkey trail on the east side. That was a workout.

I've always liked the Colton side because it has not been developed as much as Harrison, no real 'touristy' stuff. You should try the Turkey Path from the Colton side. Where is this camp you keep talking about ??

I live in the desert. Although it has its charms, I do miss the green sometimes.
