How did you guys got the Mininglaserturret working ? When i want to use the Custom Turret Controller with the omni Beamlaser it is not shown as a tool for the CT Controller :/

What if you did a starship troopers style community server where the planet has strongholds and you have to simultaneously defend your outposts, mine resources and conquer strongholds. When the planet is 100% taken over you win.

So about mixer I used it when it came out as it was integrated into xbox had a dashboard and that overlay and everything and very low latency for chat so as a streamer you could have a full connection with people then it shut down and I miss it I used it day 1 of release it just never caught on i guess

Having played avorion and how i liked mining there, i would probably have used a 45 degree offset on a hinge before the drill mounting, so you can mine upward, forward, and over wide arcs around that axis. Its very productive. How I'd deploy that to space engineers I'm unsure, maybe rotor mounted instead of a hinge?

I think something that would be really cool and within the capabilities of SE and its mods is a home world PvP scenario. Get a team of like 4v4 or 5v5 and each team has a large mothership(any of the factions) and you spawn in with no idea where the enemy team is in space, you have some starting resources which could be used to manufacture various ships. You need to find asteroids with resources, mine them, build up a fleet of drone ships or pilot larger ones to destroy the other team’s mothership.

SE: Chat Survival RNG- a 4 way survival among streamers, where each streamer is on a planet (Terra, Mars, and Alien) and the unfortunate streamer will have the space spawn. The goal or goals are as follow,
1. survive for 1 month
2. Be the only streamer left alive/ survive as a group
3. Defeat the bosses
Challenge rules go as such-
1. Streamers have 5 lives; Deaths only count towards PvP and Enemy “ship” attacks (Reavers)
1b. Shenanigan deaths do not count unless… clang wants your soul.
2. Chat through donations (based on value amount) can call on the streamer to do a dice roll of “fate” (which they must call out their roll) of 3 different D20, Luck, Chaos, and Curse! (Fate’s will be roll at the end of each stream, then applied at the start of each stream)
3. Random Mods that are not in the preloaded mod list will be added every week (about 5 mods each week)
This is just an idea I had pop in my head while watching this video later after the livestream.

Only managed to last about 45 minutes watching live. :) Funny that you mentioned Medieval Engineers as my room mate and I both started new worlds with it this past week using a modded world that uses actual height maps of the real Earth to make a large version of Earth to explore. It can still be a fun game to poke around in from time to time.

Look I was Minmatar because I was Browncoat before I played EVE and I wanted ships that looked like Reavers built them.

@Splitsie - talking of sensors and lights - perhaps sensors that detect ship and make ring extend to appropriate size? (toggleable)

atmosphere processors, but on a massive scale, materials brought in by drop ships, engineer bases, xeno outbreaks, game over man, game over, then nuke the site from orbit,, its the only way to be sure. end of series as a sinlge escape pod floats away from camera....

And upon seeing the smaller ship area, I got to remembering the Flying Sub from the old Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea....

You guys really need to add a hydro and oxy tank to the miner, along with an 02 gen, so you can have your cabins / cockpits filled with air while you're away from the station

Definitely agree about the inertial dampers taking away a lot of fun gameplay. I wish they were only available on grids through a dedicated block that was unwieldy/expensive/power-hungry, because I want them to be available for players but come with a cost. Having dampers tied to a physical block would also mean that they could be disabled or destroyed in combat, which would be awesome.

It seems a bit derivative but Splitsie is actually a good name for your ship or The Harmadillo
