this is like an alternate version of daria, except the daria we know on the show is always depressed for a lack of a better word while this version would be one that became happy in life and tried to teach others on electronics.

honestly? major flow of this test is the video quality on Utube. you making videos about screan quality and stuff and upload only 1080p in 2023? you video will look odd on an 4k or 2k monitor anyway and the real difference is harder to notice. i

I had never heard of burn in on a television until I purchased in 2022 the Samsung S95B OLED. However, I didn't hear them discuss the OLED television getting burn in. I rarely watch CNN showing their logo and I would never use my 4K S95B OLED as a computer monitor. As I stated, I never heard of talk regarding burn-in until I purchased the Samsung S95B OLED in 2022. I only use my 4K Samsung OLED and QLED to watch television, sports, Max, HBO, Starz, MGM+, Showtime, Cinemax, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Tubi, and Pluto TV. I don't watch television all day on my OLED S95B. I usually turn it on after 6 p.m. and I watch until the early hours in the morning. Supernatural is favorite series on Netflix and Supernatural. I usually will watch this series during the morning afternoon on my 32 inch 4K QLED Samsung TV oppose to the 55 inch S95B OLED TV turning it off periodically in order to give its pixels a rest. I paid $2,199.99 for my 55 inch Samsung S95B OLED as soon as it was release and that's a lot of money and especially when you're living on a fixed income. That was an early birthday present to myself as a retiree. 😀 😃 😄 😁 😆 😅 😂 🤣

Modern TVs are absolute garbage honestly everything modern seems to be. They have virtually no longevity like older technology used to and heck in some cases still do. I'm an older millennial so i grew up with CRT's and our family had the same TV for 15+ years and it never failed. Not once did it need repairs nor did it completely fail. Honestly it saddens me knowing that when it was time to upgrade we just threw it out. Meanwhile over the last 15+ with TVs I've personally owned and as a late adopter to flat screens i am currently on my 3rd. I had a Samsung that lasted about 7 years then a Vizio that last about 4 years and now i have an LG that is experiencing burn after less than 2 damn years. It's honestly maddening because this lg c1 is the most expensive tv I've owned and it already has issues. It's not right as consumers we should be provided with quality products that are meant to last, ESPECIALLY when they on the costlier side.

For myself I treat displays as a 4-5yr shelf life. I buy a 4-5yr warranty with my TVs and at the end of the warranty I go buy a new unit, if I don’t use my warranty than I can flip it over to my next purchase. Been doing this for 4 tvs so far and do for a 5th in a few months, I bought the warranty 16-20 years ago and never paid for it again as I e never used it. It’s the best system out there as you literally can’t lose. Either you get a free tv or free warranty on the next purchase. I find that in that 4-5 year span tv technology advances a lot so that’s my upgrade cycle. Usually got for a $4-$5K budget as that costs me under $100/month which is less than my cell phone bill. Definitely going for a top tier LG this time around as Samsung has refused to give us Dolby vision with so many of us requesting it. Samsung is so cheap that they assume nobody wants to pay $5 extra for the licensing, I’ve contacted Samsung and told them to simply add a subscription button and I guarantee you that a lot of us would pay that minuscule fee, but of course their answer is no. It’s really to bad as Samsung has made some nice mid tier panels.

Even though these tests are 'unrealistic' in a certain way, as someone who buys equipment to last years and years, they're still useful.

I wouldn't never get a OLED am not that careful with the content that I watch as for do extra care and the room where is my living room is so bright that won't invest in extra shutters and things to reduce the daytime lights because my newer TV is dim enough as for don't fight the glare prefer those miniled or led with their proper settings

Do not buy Sony TV’s, especially not OLEDs. I have a A80J, and less than a year in with normal use, there is severe burn in, and don’t count on Sony to take any responsability here. With more than a year of warranty left, it is ‘completely the fault of the user’… 🥹 €1500 for less than 1 year of decent TV watching. And these tests confirm that Sony’s approach to OLEDs is the poorest.

Just goes to show you....CNN is rotting your TV screen as well as your mind. Beyond that I've had the LG C1 48" for more than 3 years now. It's on At Least 18 hours a day every day as a PC monitor. I have zero burn in !

No brand is reliable. You just hope you get lucky when buying a tv that it will last many years. What's the use of having all the advance tech but then the parts are not gonna last long and you find yourself at the mercy of the warranty and whoever technician will "fix" the tv... and then after 6 months or so - it's broken again. Your tv is going to be an (added) livelihood of the techs who will come after every few months to "fix" your tv.

I just got a Sony A80l OLED and I am worried about the burn in. I watch tv about 4-6 hours a day and video games a few hours a week. I may end up watching tv 8-10 hours a day, once we get settled in. I hate to get a burn in and have spent 2k for a tv.

if you go to best buy and you touch the LG OLED's including the G2/G3 they are hotter than the corresponding Samsung OLED's , very strange! i know LG supposably has the additional heatsink, but then why is hotter to the touch?!!!!

Getting a decent scientifically credible sample size for a test would just not be anywhere near financially viable except for a person like Musk, Gates or a large corporation. And I don't see where such a test would be worth the results for said large corporation, or the risk for negative results for said corporation.
