Very good and informative lesson
ОтветитьYou said the magic word you opened up a new door for me now I know what I need to do thank you again
🤨😎🤔!
You're absolutely great thank you very much 🤨😎🤔!
ОтветитьThe first lesson that made so much sense, thank you so much, 😊
ОтветитьGreat lesson. It opens up many doors for me. Thank you.
ОтветитьTell BB King the don’t mix
ОтветитьYeah I never played lead but I'm trying to learn it sure makes it simplified the way you showed it I appreciate it I'll be watching thank you again
ОтветитьBeginner Guitar is like snow. Every single flake is different and starts sticking after about a year of playing. This lesson resonated with me in a very eloquent way and I think I will be shoveling guitar sentences and paragraphs like clearing my driveway from a snow storm.
Thank you for sharing.
Which way are you showing the fret...........? Never seen it turned that way
ОтветитьThis is the clearest version I have ever seen
ОтветитьGreat lesson as always
ОтветитьYes. Very helpful & inspirational.
Ответитьyou read my mail: constantly playing like your son was. eager to try your way!
Ответитьyou seem, to be one of the best teachers, keeping it SIMPLE, yet highly logical! Thank you.
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьSad seeing people asking valid questions on here Brian but that they don’t appear to be getting a reply?.. As your lessons state, it’s all about the call and the response in blues etc, so where’s your response?
ОтветитьVery good job. I am trying to figure out how to play leads instead of just working through scales. Very good.
ОтветитьGreat lesson to reiterate what I have known to do but struggle to implement. Thank you!
ОтветитьThis finally clicked in my brain! Thank you!
Ответитьreally interesting and easily accessible.. cheers!
ОтветитьBro I like your lesson, and your teaching. I know the Am scale etc and chords but I don’t know much theory. My question is what the heck is a 1 chord and 4 or 5 chord and why is there no 3 chord? Also it looks like I pretty much need to know all the notes on the Fretboard?
ОтветитьThirty years later, I am barely learning chords and notes on frets. Been giging and getting paid for 15 years just off tabs. The last 4 months and countess videos i couldn't wrap my brain on the lingo you speak of root, 😅😅
ОтветитьI've watched this ONE lesson over a dozen times, its that good. I watch all manner of lessons from my favorite guys, but there is so much to be learned from this one. This lesson, and other free lessons by Brian are so good, I'm signing up for a year. An entire year of Active Melody cost less than TWO live lessons locally (which I don't enjoy). I'm not promoting, just stating facts, and justifying a year membership to myself, which both me and the teacher deserve. You are an excellent and enthusiastic teacher sir, with just the right blend of practical and challenging instruction!
ОтветитьGreat lesson… my question is (which I’ve been struggling with for a while now)… when exactly do you land on the target note? For example, while playing over the 1 chord and the 5 chord is about to come… do you land on the the E note (playing in the key of A) the moment the song transitions to the 5 chord or at the end of that bar?
ОтветитьGreat lesson. I’m now gonna spend the forseeable future figuring out where these intervals are in every pentatonic shape. I’m far too guilty of trying to learn it all rather than focus on one thing at a time.
ОтветитьIt would be nice to have a lesson like this on the major pantetonic.
Ответить5th chord (V) not 5 chord, I was a bit lost when you said the 5 chord. However, tonic is still in harmony with the 5th chord based on music theory even if it is not a note in the chord. This can only apply to one pattern. If you need to remember all patterns, it will just kill you. Rather to use the Cage system to visualize them.
ОтветитьLol, he played like me at the beginning. I feel attacked.
Ответитьgreat lesson and explanations. I was wondering is this approach related to mode playing in disguise? Or is their a MAJOR pentatonic pattern hidden inside that minor pentatonic pattern you started the lesson out with? My fingers are ok but my mind ain't right Luke, lol. I just have very limited theory to latch on to and I am looking for efficiency at my age, lol. Scales, modes or arpeggios? I see patterns but don't know fret board well enough to TARGET b7's etc, especially on the fly
Thx for this great lesson!
What a gem of video
Ответитьfor me this lesson was perfect! The right amount of info at the right speed, with relevant analogies (don’t just recite the alphabet lol) great teacher!
ОтветитьMost excellent!
Ответить"[constantly playing the pentatonic up and down] is just reciting the alphabet - you're not having a conversation". Nailed it!
ОтветитьLa mejor clase de guitarra que he visto desde hace mucho mucho tiempo. Graciassss desde Sevilla, España 😍
ОтветитьGood lesson. Enjoyed it.
ОтветитьI really need this help ,where do I get play back
ОтветитьPhrasing is like 50% of the game. Listen to BB King. He might play one note in 2 bars. But when he plays it, people in the audience shout. If you have a hard time not overplaying, imagine the fretboard is hot, and you can’t stand to play it for long. 😉
ОтветитьYou spoke directly to me…I feel like I’m just playing scales and I sound like your son.
It’s hard for me to play with expression in my improv.
Thank you for the light bulb moment
Thank you brother 🤘🏻😎 explained great
ОтветитьExcellent! Thank you
ОтветитьBit not harmonic minor : g# when playing minor penta? Play g# but making it hexatonic?
ОтветитьI wish I knew a 1/ 4 of what you know !! Good jod Thank you sir !!
Ответитьthanks, i need a lot to land on the roots!!
ОтветитьToo much talk but little demonistration
ОтветитьBest blues blueprint ever!
ОтветитьThis was a big help. I’ve been playing guitar for years, but when you spend a lot a lot of the time, just jamming, you tend to overlook some things but this really helped. I’m trying to hone my lead skills right now.
ОтветитьYes, this was great!
ОтветитьMilions of great guitarist, but only a few can teach this well. ❤
