can you review the smaller skinnier trackers? I have super skinny wrists and find larger size watches are uncomfortable when bending joint or sleeping. the smaller watches tend to be more budget friendly as well so idk maybe combing small and budgets in a video comparison? black friday was yesterday so i was looking at fitbit charge 6, inspire 3, and luxe. those are the thinnest bands but i was also looking at the sense 2, versa 4 and pixel 2 & 3 watches for a possible xmas gift for my dad. i guess google just bought fitbit or something and now pixel is fitbit too. i was starting to read about some things working better or only working when paired with pixel cell phone too and i guess samsung fitness watches need to work work samsung cell phones too? if you do more reviews maybe include functionality and pros and cons of using matching brands lol. im totally asking for too much now. i actually have an iphone and fitbit works fine but things are changing now that google is in charge and also im close to upgrading and gonna go back to android so depending on whats out then and how things work, i might end up with a samsung or pixel watch. if you end up picking up any of the trackers i mentioned id love to hear your thoughts! thanks for great video! i never heard of half of them. =)

I actually love this video so much. I don’t agree with everything but I do think this is a very real and honest representation of everybody’s struggles while on their journey of committing to a smartwatch. I’ve tried multiple Garmins, Fitbit, will never try Whoop (but never say never right), and detest the idea of Oura’s subscription fees and honestly went back to Fitbit because the only thing I care about is activity levels and tracking my lifting workouts so that I can see how many times I’ve trained per week. Basic but effective for me!

So watching this and having a Samsung Watch (and now Samsung Ring after a Oura trade in, I didn't like the monthly fees) -- Samsung kind of merged all the watch/ring features into this latest run and I kind of feel lucky I have the best of all of these -- don't get me wrong, Samsung does have a ways to go but I've had a Galaxy watch since 2 (2>5>7) - and it's a really good thing for daily use. PLUS with the ring - they work off each other so it saves the battery life on both! (If you have a Galaxy or google phone - you do need Samsung Health for the features.)

Have you tried the trainers built into Garmin? I'm curious what you think of them.

Fitbit Fun Fact: They are now owned by Google and the smart watches are being phased out. They will only make the slim trackers and pushing the Google Pixel. Not sure when the Versas and Senses are being discontinued. That's the last I heard anyway. In case anyone was still set on the Fitbit after the video. Lol.

apple is so far behind with the fitness game... I like the apple watch ultra, but it can't hold a light to the garmin. when you start looking at gpx files on trail runs, that's when the garmin absolutely dusts everyone... BUT you forgot the biggest sell for the apple watch ultra - if you leave your phone in your car and still want to take/make calls/texts then the ultra is the only choice!

Was an avid fitbit user for years but they constantly stopped working after a year almost every time. Switched to the Samsung galaxy watches for the last few years and I love them. Seems like they are on par with the Apple watch as far as features but are extremely durable and holds a charge for a couple of days with a lot of heavy use.

Whoop does count (try to count) steps now. Also, you're meant to charge the battery pack and then just wear it while it's charging. Also, if you pull on the tab it's super easy to take it on and off :).

garmin sleep score - you obviously missed the sleep score breakdown down in the app (which isn't hard to do - this should come out exploded) - just under the sleep score, quality and duration and blurb there is a line that says sleep score factors - press on it - it splits out your sleep score - press on each section (duration / stress / deep / light / rem / restlessness & awake to get more info and detail on each area). For sleep score trend info (can offset against RHR, BB, SPO2, HRV), duration vs need, consistency, avgs etc use the top bar and change from 1 day view to 7d, 4w or 1y. Has as much info as Oura if not more. Its also a pity you didn't take the forerunner 265 or an epix 2 pro 42mm to get all the training info including features like training readiness (i.e. similar to what Whoop etc are doing).

I started out with the fitbit charge 3 when it first launched, and I had it until I got my apple watch series 5 in early 2020. I LOVED my apple watch, even though I didn't update to a series 6 or newer. I literally only got rid of it because I decided to switch from an Iphone to a Samsung Galaxy.. So I'm really glad you made this video because I've been without a watch since changing my phone months ago and it's driving me mad. Seems like Garmin might be my best option. Thank you!!! 🥰

I will say my versa 4 actually sucked compared to the 2, my 4 didn't show calls or texts and I realized it just didn't offer as much. Maybe that's the one you tried

You confused me so much talking about fit bit. My fit bit shows all stages of sleep. I'm thinking you had an old fit bit or didn't where it for 3 days in a row. After wearing it 3 days in a row you unlock so much more status. ( If anyone is wondering I took my fit bit off only to showers and still got the new results).
Fit bit tracks all stages of sleep, readiness, menstrual cycle, health metric ( breathing rate, heart rate variability, oxygen saturation, resting heart rate, skin temperature that can be used for ovulation tracking). While working out you can get live feeb back, also what cardiovascular age you are. Fit bit tracks glucose level (manually or import in), Tracks mindful and stress management. My fit fit once gave me an alerts that my stress were to high and warns me to take a break before a mental break happens.
Also being with google means nothing. I am a full blown apple/iphone user and fit bit moving to google changed nothing.

I’ve heard that oura for sleep and Apple Watch or whoop for fitness/activity, so you really need 2 for optimization until Apple Watch takes over in a few years 😂. Ourafor sleep while you’re charging your Apple Watch for the next day.

You did only mention the more expensive Apple Watch. There is the aluminum model, and the Se model as well. You can get the Se for less than $200 on sale all the time. The Se had less features than the 9 or 10, but is better than some of the competitors you mentioned. I agree on the Fitbit, I was given one by my medical insurance years ago. I out grow it, and gave to my mom. But even she has out grown it. She now using a Samsung watch, because that’s her ecosystem. But I lean Garmin, Apple or Samsung for the smart watch all have some limitations. But like you said use what works best for you.

I love my Fitbit Versa, I used it to help me lose 30lbs so far and it made the process of tracking calories very streamline. I also like how simple the interface is and how long the battery lasts. I had a galaxy watch for a minute but switched back because I hated the tiny interface and that I had to charge it almost daily.

I’m late to this party lol, but love hearing the breakdown for each of these. I only have experience with Fitbit and Garmin. Fitbit was great back in the day when I first started out, and I had a couple different models, but my husband got a Garmin a couple years back and I made the switch once my last Fitbit completely died lol. I did love how user friendly/smart watch-like it was, so with the Garmin there is definitely a learning curve, but I love it now! I couldn’t justify the Apple Watch bc my main use is for fitness tracking. Love the smart watch features, but too afraid I’ll trash it at the gym 😂

Wait what? I have a Fitbit versa 4 and there’s so much more! Spo2, recovery score, different kinds of workouts, I can take calls and find my phone, etc. and you can choose your focus so depending on how you set up your Home Screen and the clock face you choose you won’t see your steps at all. There’s in-app workouts, mindfulness exercises, you can get an alert when something changes with your heart health (irregularity, sudden increased heart beat), active zone minutes, elevation (both during hikes and the amount of stairs you’ve taken that day, communities with friends, groups and a feed, badges - you name it! And that’s coming from an apple girly lol.
