I have been curious about the Arc and a friend loaned me his paddle. This was not the best day to try a new ski as conditions were big and fast. Interestingly, when I looked at the video it didn’t look at all like what it felt to me. For starters, conditions didn’t look as fast and chaotic as it was, I think this was due to the waves being so broad, both across and wave length, that things seem to move in slo-mo on the video - that’s why I added the speed indicator. Secondly, the video doesn’t show how uncoordinated and out-of-sorts I felt in the boat. I seemed to not have the best directional control at times. I am pretty sure this was due to not having cockpit fully padded out like my V9 (I am small) and I also should have had the rudder peddles 1-2 cm closer and the toe plates angled toward me a bit more. But even with all this I never felt like I would end up in the water so the stability of the Arc is very good. I am sure I would have swam if I was paddling my Flex, or at least missed many waves due to bracing.
