The sacred syllable “ॐ AUM” is the symbol of divinity and primeval sound of infinity. It represents the Super Consciousness or “Supreme being.” It is a small but very potent mantra. It has hundreds of meanings! One of them is “Welcome to Supreme/God” thus by repeatedly chanting of “ॐ AUM” we invoke & pray to Supreme to shower his compassion & love upon us.
‘ॐ AUM/Om’ is the Supreme mantra, the most sacred of holy words in the Yoga tradition. It has neither beginning nor end. ॐ Aum is also called Pranava means both life-giver (infuser of Prana) and controller of life force (Prana). AUM is another name of God/Self.
“ॐ Aum is the source of all the divine Shakti (Anandamayi energy). The power of Aum cleanses the chakras, centralizes and uplifts the person where one can experience Anandam/ the Blissful-State within though Anandamayi energy.”
