After a pleasant conclusion to his conversation with The Metron (whose name is to be correctly pronounced by Spock...), Captain Kirk feels the warmth of Dr. McCoy, and displays newfound faith in the human race, half-savage as it may be. He even feels that an instance of "Proving It" could be in the offing.
