The dark leis that look like beads are actually Kukui nuts, not shells. Historically, kukui nut leis have been symbols of peace and protection, and the nuts from the candle nut tree were used to make candles and oil that would burn for hours.

Use hair spray on anything & it pulls out inks, including permanent markers!!! I used some on a dresser top that a permanent marker leaked into... the ink was bubbling up from deep within the wood, until it ALL came out!! EZPZ LemonSqueezy

The x4 would be the whole set, 3 cups, and maybe the pitcher. I can't tell if that's what it was in the video. Value Village and Savers marked their items the same. The x4 will come off after a wash.

I think the beautiful hand turned bowl with the brass piece in the center is a pipe ashtray. My dad had a similar one. He would tap his pipe on the brass plate to remove the ashes of the pipe.

The wooden bowl with the brass inset is possibly a nut bowl - my grandmother had one which was always out at Christmas time with a little brass and wooden nut cracker hammer.

That hanging ape is "Kay Bojesen" (Danish artist). Couldn't tell if it was the little one or the middle sized, but the small is often listed for $150 and the middle about $300-500, so $48 for that was a catch, but perhaps not on yr specific market, idk.

My cats like those head scratchers.

Just the other day I was at one of my favorite thrift stores, or at least it used to be one of my favorites until they jacked up their prices and I noticed a decrease in quality/desirable items on the shelf. And to my surprise I spotted the two of you! I wasn’t sure if it was you, since y’all were not filming, but then I realized and was a little star-struck 🤩🤭 Y’all were so nice when I walked by and said Hello. I think at one point we were both admiring a 4 piece MCM bedroom set, with original tags, but it was overpriced. :/ Nice to meet you two! Happy thrifting in Washington! ❤
