I am using Livpure water purifier. Very poor in doing maintenance, servicing and all these I am facing while living in heart of Delhi. Their services have good to bad to worst in last two years. What a sharp deterioration

I use two 10 litre utensils for boiling the water every alternate night. It takes about 20 minutes to boil the water and kill all the germs. I then put a pinch of Alum powder in the boiled water. Leave it to cool down overnight. By morning, all the impurities gradually settle down at the bottom of the vessels. I then filter the water with 2 steps. First with a heavy turkish cotton cloth and then with a much finer 4 layered cotton cloth. All this process of filtering takes about 10 minutes. I took this decision after buying an Aquaguard and discovering all the above information earlier. It is much cheaper to do it yourself.

Pani saf cahiye par paise khrch krne me gand fat rhi hai. Water purifier normally khrab nhi hote jaldi, filter change hota hai kewal. Company kyu free me degi, company paise na kmaye, salary na de apne workers ki, new product research na kre. Par chutio ko to free me cahiye. If you want good product then you have to pay more, it is simple. 3-4000 ka ro b aata hai, jiska budget kam h wo saste wale lagwaye, unki maintenance charge b bahut kam hote hai.

Started using HUL pureit approx 30 years back. 3 years back shifted to prestige gravity filter. RO is not required if one is using supply water (not ground water).

I was seriously contemplating to switch over to KENT from AQUAGUARD of which I am a customer for over 30 years. After watching your video, I have changed my opinion. Your video was very much informative and factual. Since we are living on the banks of Kaveri, the piped and ground water in my area is pretty reasonably good -- ranging between 300 & 500 pph. I am not so much infatuated of RO as it robs our body of vital salts. I simply go for a simple filter which filters out dust and sediments. That's all. Thank you. Keep up your good work.

Good job explaining actual expenses to buy and maintain a good water purifier. I am reminded of Consumer Reports (U.S.A.) which gave extensive technical reports also on various appliances. I understand that it's a big undertaking but maybe you could talk directly to different repair shops who fix these things to get their perspective on the technical merits. That should be a big value-add to your presentations. All the best to you and your team.

The operational cost of the purifiers is a good topic. However, I feel the capex of the purifiers should also have been considered. As, the price of some purifiers is quite high.

Don't trust warranties. Companies are giving only warranties, not guarantees, that means you will have to pay for replacement of parts .

great video!.. i wish I had seen a month earlier.. after a lot of research and guesswork, I finally purchased Livpure Allura Premia and hope it does justice to the investment. I came very close to buying UC M2 but somehow backed out due to raise in prices, which I wish I had purchased..

I had a kent water purifier for many years (purchased 3 times new one). First of all, they have an alarm that shuts off filter after certain volume of water, which in my house was about every 7 months. After that, their technician will come and always change all the filters usually. I took AMC, and then the alarm never range till the time water purifier choked. Not only it choked the filters but also damaged the motor and by then, it was out of AMC.
Long back, I had Aquaguard and had taken its AMC, and the repair guy on having some problem had actually bypassed the filter. My family was falling ill every now and then. I called another local service guy who caught it.

Now I'm using Aquaguard. Luckily, so far its service has been fine.

Bohot ghuma fira ke M1 chipkane ki koshish dikh rahi hai - what all places across India, exactly, does one get ppm higher than 1500, or even 1000? That's the real question.
The answer: Very few, like Ahmadabad and Noida. The title should have been more relevant if it was specific in that regard.
The fact is that TDS up to 500ppm is OK as per the Bureau of Indian Standards, and up to 300ppm as per WHO.
Its the other impurities that we should be more concerned about when TDS in our area is in acceptable range; a case where any popular brand's Sediment/Carbon filter and Membrane would do just fine, but an additional UV filter would become more important in dealing with disease carrying micro-organisms.
Don't take my word for any of it either. Do your own little research, like I did. It doesn't take long.

The content is really amazing. One of the reasons I used Livepure on rent. However, it was absolutely fine till I subscribed to unlimited plan. The moment I changed it to limited plan, actual scam popped up. It started reporting 1L purified water as 3L. Curious to know if anybody faced the same.
