Was Windows Vista Really That Bad?

Windows Vista deserves WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY more popularity than it gets. I absolutely love it mainly for the startup sound. It makes you feel massaged

Vista was perfect for me... never showed BSOD and never lagged. I still use it for fun.

Windows vista was a very terrible xp was way better and everyone can agree with that

My laptop (which is old and used to be owned by a different person) has Vista Home premium and it ran slow but it ran fine several minutes after startup. Got it to 7 and after that i stayed there, idc if i needed to upgrade to windows 10.

i also like vista there is no OS i hate i even like windows ME

My friend had this OS he told me that it performed really badly and he got rid of it :D

i basically blame my father and people like him, for the bad reputation. but that just wanna use what they have infront of them, feel insulted when they need to learn something in order to use it better and have no idea, how development works and want developers, to use magic to make a better product, just for them. when vista came, my dad installed it on his 2001 computer and blamed MS for conspiring with HW manu's to sell new hardware. he, to this day, has the attitude that once he bought something, no matter the price, it should be supported forever and last forever and that change, to embrace new and better tech, should never cost compability for even very old stuff because HE doesnt need it. in his mind, its better to evade increasing graphics for example, when that would force people to spend money on new stuff, that they wouldnt need, if graphics stayed the same way. how ever, the only downside vista had, to me, wasnt even microsoft faults.. its companies like creative, that saw the oppurtinity to turn their products OEL in order to sell new hardware that has vista drivers. because that has never been a compatibility problem, it was a money grab. even back then, my thought was, that vista was judged by people, who have no clue.. people that say: "i dont want viruses! - thats why we have better security with the new UAC in vista - but thats annoying - but it safes you from trouble, you can turn it off, but then you should learn how to avoid dangers - i dont wanna learn that, i want to use it and i want you, to think of something to solve the problem without involvig my input at all and correct even the biggest mistakes i make or your programm will be called bad"

The funny thing about Mojave is that it showed how poorly Microsoft advertised Windows Vista and its features. It shows that Microsoft did a very poor job at showing the benefits of Vista and it belittles the customers making it look like they were stupid and not knowing what it could do.

If Vista runs slow = Poor Hardware
If Vista is unstable and has bugs = RTM and SP1
Get a better PC and install SP2, that's the solution

I was born with hands on vista and a 1 year later windows 7 I started using windows7 never really got to see the XP vista computers

A lot of the companies I work for still used Windows XP for their business processing even today, nobody care about Windows Vista.

Actually, Windows Vista is similarly with Windows 7 but some of Programs still like a Windows XP.
