Overcoming poverty, invest in yourself as a homemaker.

In order for us to overcome poverty as homemakers we must first invest in ourselves. In today's video I dive into the top 3 ways I have earned money as a homemaker. When we build a business from home part of the art of homemaking is to integrate our new businesses into our homes in a way we don't increase our burnout and in ways that won't negatively affect our relationships with our spouses and children. To season my castiron skillets I like to use flax oil because of its high burn heat so it protects the skillets superior to other oils....but boy does it stick and burn! LOL.

To make homemade baking powder, simply mix 2 parts cream of tartar to one part baking soda and one part corn starch (optional, helps to prevent clumping) and store in an airtight container.

To make brown sugar I just add a bit of blackstrap molasses to our cane sugar and mix well, a little goes a long way, the more you add the darker your brown sugar will be. For about 4 cups of sugar I probably used about a teaspoon of molasses to get a nice light brown sugar comparative to that at the store.
