Sharing the steps we go through and the tools we use to plan our long, six month seasons of travel in our VanDOit camper van and Winnebago EKKO Class C.

Timeline:
Step One: Come up with an overarching theme or main goal for the trip - 0:57
Step Two: Decide on a rough route - 1:49
Step Three: Make a wish list of things to see and do in each state - 2:57
Step Four: Make a Google My Map of your wish list - 4:42
Step Five: Identify the order of the items per state - 7:44
Step Six: Start an itinerary list in a spread sheet - 8:38
Step Seven: Refine the itinerary by looking at the distances between locations - 9:02
Step Eight: Start setting dates for each stop - 11:08
Step Nine: Find places to stay at each location - 13:20
Step Ten: Research when reservations open for each campground - 14:58
Step Eleven: Set calendar reminders for when reservations open - 16:30
Step Twelve: Make campground reservations when possible - 17:57
Step Thirteen: Consider reservations for excursions and attractions - 18:38
Step Fourteen: Plan laundry stops - 20:27
Step Fifteen: Add info to the spreadsheet as needed - 21:58
