Very useful for tuning
ОтветитьMy thing is I want to make music, and I have been trying to self teach for about 5 months now and I have learned a lot but when it comes to plugins I wanna know what does what. What does attack do and how do I use it, what is threshold and how do I use that, so I want to know what does what I don’t wanna be mindlessly turning knobs that I have no idea what they are for, does this catagory fall into music production or audio engineering???
ОтветитьHim: Which vowel sound do you hear ?
Me: “I”
Him: I hear an “AH” sound
Me: FUCK
This is a game changer, I can see myself identify the frequencies.
ОтветитьAppreciate the information bro, respect
ОтветитьInterestingly cool idea for ear training AU! Also, will this improve my sound selection of samples or only frequency identification? Thanks!
Ответитьngl this is creepy
ОтветитьDude...
ОтветитьI have always done ear training as a musician, but the concept of listening as an egineer has somehow eluded me all of these years. I now listen to every song in a different way. I find myself scrutinizing mixes, compression ammounts, auto tune, etc., when it used to be purely about the songs themselves. As a novice producer with 30 years of being a musician, I can't believe how much free knowledge is available now days, thanks to the internet and folks like those at Audio University. This is probably my favorite channel to learn from. Thanks so much and keep up the great work!
ОтветитьBrilliant! So easy. Thanks alot
ОтветитьHello
what is the connection between ISO values and musical note values?thanks
Do you about airborne 22khz in an appt building all the time. Any clues? And health hazards? Thx
ОтветитьThis is such a smart way to look (listen) at/to this. I'm familiar enough with the frequency spectrum to be in the ballpark every time, but I usually find that I often tend to miss the problem area with about an octave, and so I end up doing the good ol' "sweep-around", which is a bit fatiguing at times. Especially when EQ'ing highly distorted guitars. Thanks!
ОтветитьThis explains the Eyooeeeyoeeeeyoeee sound in dubstep basses
ОтветитьWow. Until now I've never heard of this. Frequencies by vowel sounds. This helps
ОтветитьI tried an experiment recently, and it surprised me. I fed a signal from the bottom string of a few good bass guitars into a spectrum analyser. Just flat from the pickups, no eq at all.
It turns out that most of the acoustic energy is NOT at the fundemental (41 HZ) but at the second, and to some extent fourth harmonics! So some of the "conventional wisdom" about sitting bass guitar in a mix may be a bit flawed?
nice
ОтветитьWhich EQ are you using? Which program?
ОтветитьThanks Kyle! Jason Corey’s ear trainer has become an integral part of my daily practice with Quiztones. I’d like to recommend SoundGym too. There’s a whole community there, with lots of games designed for honing different aspects of ear training. It’s a subscription membership to unlock full access but it’s worth the investment
ОтветитьShow, thanks!
Ответитьthis kid is awesome!
ОтветитьReally bro
ОтветитьThis is genius.
ОтветитьThis was so cool!
ОтветитьU O A E I para los hispanohablantes 😁
ОтветитьDude, mind blown 🤯
ОтветитьJust looked at your guy’s website and Omg! I have been telling myself how I wish I was able to take some kind of course to learn what I’m doing, and you guys are my answered prayer 🙏🏾 much love 💕
Ответитьthis is so much faster than just hunting for the frequency, and the result seems more musical
ОтветитьI hear "ar" sound in 1k
ОтветитьI'm sure I am echoing everyone else when I say that your forward, no-nonsense style is a breath of fresh air in this community
ОтветитьLiked and subscribed.
Again simple and efficient.
Guys, the best ever way to learn this is by commissioning sound masking system. After six zones done, you will have a new sound world opened in your mind🙃It is a very good video to put you on the right path but remember the practice makes the master! 😊
ОтветитьI love how your videos are short and sweet ! 🔥 thank you for the help always !!
ОтветитьWow that’s genius. Thank you
ОтветитьExcellent…I give you an Aaaaaaaaahhhhhh! 😅
BTW you learn this in singing with a chorus/choir/chorale or playing an instrument …you just aren’t translating it to audio engineering…
Super interesting.
ОтветитьI was really interested in training my ear for the first time before I got into recording using the method recommended here. Unfortunately, the downloaded EAR TRAINING GUIDE is a single page with a graphic of the frequency band and associated vowel sounds as shown in the video No additional documentation on how to setup and use the training software. Video hinted at more info being in the guide but I did not receive it. Disappointing,
ОтветитьDude, my journey to fix my eq escalated rather quickly😅
ОтветитьThis is insightful
ОтветитьWow impressive. Thanks !
ОтветитьSubscribed
ОтветитьWow this sounds magical you know, I didn’t even know that I can detect frequencies use my own body 😮😮 and great fuel bcoz am sure am gonna improve on my listening ability.
ОтветитьWhy anyone told me this until today?? OMG thank you!
ОтветитьThis is genius
ОтветитьI've never thought one day I would be tought by Tintin himself!
ОтветитьHello,Is there any chance i will be able to get a certificate from this training?
Ответитьthis is a banger video , learned something new. Thanks👍👍
