A beautifully filmed attack on the reckless use of the North Sea as a dumping ground for incredible amounts of poisons and waste from chemical industries. 18 million tonnes of industrial waste of unknown composition are released into this sea which at present is very rich in fish, and in some places in the rivers flowing into it, the water is so poisonous that swallowing one litre is lethal. Focuses particularly on the white sand dunes of Denmark, the Elbe and the Rhine, and the east coast of England. English version of a Danish film.
