Nah thanks. Tech people just trying to drain our energy supply, devalue labor and take our tax dollars through govt subsidies claiming this is some urgent need. While avg joes get screwed harder and harder.

China got 5G first and literally nobody cares outside of the Silicon Valley nerds that want to profit off of these phony tech innovations that are just reframing of existing tech and don’t benefit our society.

What a great narrative for silicon valley and of course the all-in american oligarchs - but sachs is 100% right about wanting the world to get behind american tech stack.

just think robot dogs with machine guns and an LLM for a brain, and the fact that they probably pump millions of these units in a dark factory somewhere. That is all you need to know about AI. Ofc it will be used as leverage to take back Taiwan

Maybe... if instead of outsourcing absolutely everything for the past 30 years in order to accumulate personal wealth beyond human imagination, your tech oligarch friends had actually reinvested some of that capital back into our communities, employees, education, infrastructure... we wouldn't be in this mess. But hey, I'm sure that extra Billion from 50bn to 51bn really makes a difference in your life and was totally worth now being at the mercy of authoritarian chinese loons

We could have , but this conflicts with the Tariff strategy, The world is leaving the US tech stack due to Tariffs

US can just ban it and bully others to ban it like it bans Huawei everything. No one else has that kind of bully power so it can’t lose why worry 😂

Let Trump know that his tariffs are making the American tech stack unattractive.

why is US so obsessed with the competition with China? They are not democracy and will collapse automatically by themselves. There is no reason to get worried….

You know, I really don’t care about losing or winning. I want to own my house, have medical care and have a job. AND spending time with my friends or family, that’s the best life IMO.

China turns out about ten times as much Science, Technology, and Engineering graduates than the United States. In addition, how can we compete with 340 million people versus 1.4 billion?
