Every backyard needs a truck like that to deal with skeeters. The fumes I can take.
ОтветитьThat was amazing! I never realized the expertise needed to rebuild a diesel pump…thanks.
ОтветитьI had that flyweight drive damper fail several times on a Olds diesel. The second time, the engine ran away, and I had to kill it with a plastic cup shoved into the air intake hose. Scary. Good thing I had a friend there to fetch the cup while I held the car in reverse and fully applied brakes. If I would have been by myself, I would have shrapnel on my hands. I found out about the Ford drive plate that's fully enclosed. Been good for the last 15 yrs. Do you know why the oem damper discs have such short life ? I suspect a negative change in Diesel fuel formulation, perpetuated by EPA. What say you ?
ОтветитьYOU guys...are so awesome...so informative when its the first video of this kind for me...glad Matt put the link up,it was just as fun watching...
ОтветитьThese guys would have my business any day.
Ответитьa true craftsman at work..great video as always
ОтветитьWholly shit guys, great job I never thought this difficult. Thanks for maintaining this high quality repair alive,
ОтветитьFirst of all Sir, sorry for my English, hope you understand me? Do you have any tools to meassure the house unit? So it not twist any cam during the process, if you got what i mean, hope so? CEO Peter Eriksson Falun Maskin Service, Dalarna. SWEDEN, EUROPE 😅😊😅 WITH ALL RESPECT! 😊😅😊😊
ОтветитьExcellent work !
ОтветитьI got here from Diesel creek... you know what you are doing, for sure.... when I need a pump guy, now I know who to call.... Great job.... go Trump
ОтветитьIf the tractor you are pulling the pump off of lets say a 410d backhoe, has a keyway on drive gear, do you have to get the engine set at TDC, or can you just pull it off as long as you dont rotate the engine?
ОтветитьGreat video.
I'll watch more
Like for geving out the price
ОтветитьWhy don,'t you try kroil and tap it?. Good luck.
ОтветитьThe man is a genius !! I was lost after the first screw removal !! Well done 👏👏
ОтветитьWOW! That was a LOT of parts and a LOT of labor! Definitely not a job for the do-it-your-selfer. Gives you an understanding of why the price is what it is.
ОтветитьLove these videos! I found your channel through Diesel Creek. I am now an Area Diesel Service subscriber.
ОтветитьThe tech keeps mentioning his specialty tools, does that include his ball peen hammer? 😂
ОтветитьThat’s some amazing work
ОтветитьVery good video made me feel like I was back in high school LOL guys to be instructors
ОтветитьIs the rotor usually serviced requiring cam screw removal? Definitely hard on your housing stash 😅
ОтветитьOutstanding video, gotta be young to remember where all the parts go. Good job.
ОтветитьSo what was wrong with pump and what are you talking about explain more when talking about
ОтветитьAnother fine rebuild Cory it’s very cool to watch you put this pump back together 👍😎🇺🇸 NY
ОтветитьImpressive work and knowledge, this is more complicated than open heart surgery....also the other thing that is impressive is somebody thought of this complicated mecanism and some other people manufactured all of the components....I'll stick with my non complicated day job...thank you, I liked all of it...the very best to you ...
ОтветитьReally complex stuff he tells me that if you’re an amateur do the basic stuff but beyond that, send it to the expert
ОтветитьWow! How the heck do they engineer these things and produce the machining diagrams!
Ответитьyou know what always blows my mind, is how did someone back in the day design something like this without computer modeling?! lol
Ответитьthe tism is strong with your fuel pump guy! love that dood.
ОтветитьAs a Veteran Coast Guard Aviation Machinist Mate I have absolutely no doubt that Cory could have been a top notch jet engine mechanic end up in charge of a major airlines main egine repair facility.
Dude has professionalism up the wazzoo.
I'd love to have seen you guys call Matt during the beginning discussion talking about what he did and what he thought was the issues it has. Absolutely no doubt that it would have been a hoot.
Nit to mention him learning a lot about that unit for future reference.
I don’t know what Corey makes per hour, but as a guy coming from a very technical (unrelated) field - damn, he’s probably not paid enough
ОтветитьWhat a fantastic job area diesel service does!! There worth every penny they charge!! True professional's!!😅
ОтветитьUsing the wrong tool cost matt a 1000 bucks
ОтветитьDiesel creek used a Allen wrench on the piece he broke, not a torx tip
ОтветитьWell done to the technician 😅 Alfie Parris Cape Town South Africa
ОтветитьGreat video. Going to watch more 👍
ОтветитьYup
ОтветитьMe
ОтветитьBoy are there complicated little critters
ОтветитьWas here from DieselCreek link very nice work !!!
ОтветитьThat was awesome. The contrast between good ol' crusty Diesel Creek and the methodical Area Diesel was entertaining. The breadth of knowledge, dang. Glad you guys collaborated and linked each other's vids. Long time Diesel Creek watcher and I'm looking forward to perusing your guys' content.
ОтветитьThat's one job I won't be attempting myself. great video
Ответитьgreat work boys . you cant buy the experiance you boys have
ОтветитьI have a local diesel shop to me in south west Wales I like Mat understand the principal of these pumps but I tend to send pumps out to my crew in Carmarthen Wales
ОтветитьWell, here I was thinking old diesel engines were unbelievably simple, but this pump alone is one complex piece of equipment!
I'm not only impressed that Corey was able to reassemble the pump without having disassembled it, but also that parts can still be ordered for it. Very cool all around.
makes me wonder if a carbide burr would have eaten into that screw/nut enough to either grind it off, or grind it into a shape (flat bar or square or something) where you can put something on it and get it out...
ОтветитьSo, the "CAM Bit" required a "re-inforced" star- bit like those used on Harley Davidson Motors? (which withstand a LOT MORE torque?)
Ответитьi know nothing about diesel engines or anything associated with them but am mechanically incline so find this very educational and fascinating at same time
Ответить
