The thing about putting out skins on mass, is that, from an Economics perspective, that just makes more skins chase the same dollars i.e. deflation.

If they continue to harvest training data from the internet, then yes, AI will become inbred in just 2 generations.

AI is a slippery slope that I think as a society at large we aren’t mature or wise enough to use effectively or know when to stop. AI needs to remain a novelty or there will be serious unintended consequences

If we ran out of all viable information on the internet, wouldn’t we just need to have more information for them to improve. There will always be more “natural” information found in the universe, than AI generated. It’s just a matter of do we have the sensors and data stores in place to wrangle all of that.

Ai art is for people who fancy themselves an ideas guy but their ideas were so shit they weren't even motivated enough to pick up a pencil in the last 20 years. If they couldn't even make it why would I care enough to consume it?

i do use chatgpt often, but like instead of google for finding info, and learning to code microcontrollers. i wouldnt have been able to do that before chat gpt i dont have the paitence, but now im able to make lots of cool little projects, but as far as art, text to voice, and ai imagry, i really dislike it and i much prefer to watch some sweaty guy in his basement
