In my opinion, I think the name Manstien and the word infamous should never be used in the same sentence.
ОтветитьThank you for this very high historically quality documentary focusing on the facts objectively incredibly detailed good narration
ОтветитьManstein was another level! Thanks for the video
ОтветитьAnother great video! Thanks!
ОтветитьVon Manstein best of best..thank you awesome videos
ОтветитьThese videos are great, but who exactly is this 'Atwar' guy? Is he the narrator?
ОтветитьThat is a T-34/85 which was not fielded until 1944
ОтветитьTrouble was, in spite of having elite divisions, they were repeatedly destroyed. The Soviets had too many soldiers, and military capacity. Once the drive on Moscow was delayed, it was all over bar the shouting.
ОтветитьI'm reading Alan Clark's book on Barbarossa. It is a marvellous read.
ОтветитьYour reading pauses are awkard...practice more and redo audio.
ОтветитьA retreat under enemy pressure, a regroup and successful counterattack all while suffering a logistical nightmare; is astounding. In fact, it is nearly epochal!
ОтветитьF.Y.I in Russian it's pronounced Har-koff. In Ukrainian Har - keev
Ответитьdo you feel good about the people using lightning bolt emoji as sigrunes on your videos?
ОтветитьImagine the pain, the fatigue and hunger, the cold and the noise. Relentless. Horrible.
ОтветитьPoor footage, no decent birds eye view map of the disposition of forces, just an ok narrative.
ОтветитьVON MANSTEIN WAS 1 OF THE REASONS WHY THE RUSSIANS DID NOT REACH BERLIN UNTIL APRIL 1945. THE OTHER REASON WAS MODEL.
ОтветитьThank you, I appreciate your work and look forward to the episodes. Excellent job with everything, as always. Best regards, M
ОтветитьHe is more one of the most famous Field Marshals and one of the best Germany had, than just a infamous Field Marshal. But nonetheless a really interesting video.
ОтветитьWonderful introduction documentary, that furious, fanatically, and stubbornly battles wagered by both sides against each other's....in Krakow and round landscapes.....thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьSepp Dietrich, Kurt Meyer, and Fritz Witt. That had Nazi all-star team at that battle.
ОтветитьNarrator is very good and pronounces every word clearly without the all too common trailing off at the end of sentences. An odd comment considering the video is about a WW2 battle on the Eastern Front which is also very well done and easily understood. Thanks
ОтветитьIts 2024 and its strange how history repeats itself. Once again Russia is fighting in these same familiar places but this time around they are fighting Ukrainians and once again they are destroying German supplied Leopard tanks along with vast quantities of US and NATO supplied weaponry. Even the battle for Kursk is repeating itself soon to be followed by the fifth battle of Karkov. Some nations never learn that it is not a good idea to screw around with Russians, especially in their own backyard.
Ответить3rd Kharkov battle changed nothing, even an operational victory at Kursk wouldn’t change the fact that the Germans had lost the war.
ОтветитьDas Reich !
ОтветитьThe Germans were better planners, organizers and strategically superior to the Soviets. If the Germans had 1/20 of what the soviets had during that time, they would have crushed the reds. Who knows, we would not have communism and Marxism as a threat today.
Ответитьstalin was one hundred percent worse than hitler ever was .

Books ya may enjoy:
- “Battle of Kharkov Winter 1942-1943” by author Jean Reystan(HC 150-200$ish)
(I may have shared 1st book title with ya before.)
- “Fourth Battle Of Kharkov” author Konstantinos Laios (HC 45$)
Nice video & good narration, but a description of a battle of this scale could surely benefit from a few maps. This is exactly why I put down many excellent books on the eastern front, as I'm typically lost within the first few days of the swirling affairs. Instead of spinning around a Google Earth depiction of modern-day Kharkov, a few graphics of what was happening in which portion of the battle, would put this video over the top
ОтветитьFinally a realistic acount of history without stupid nazi this, nazi that!!!
Magnificent, thanks for that!!!
❤ AND greetings from Holland
Horrible War 😢
ОтветитьMeyer himself was a madman. Great book, a must read for everyone interested in WWII.
Great video as always Fin boy
Great Video!👏👍 May i suggest for a next video the battle of Brody-Dubno!? It's one of the biggest tank battles of WW2, just like the battle of Kursk/Prokhorovka.
ОтветитьI always heard that the germans were niegh unstoppable on the counter attack. Mustache man forced them to hold ground and get overwhelmed until they lost the ability to counter attack.
ОтветитьThe SS man holding the Stick Grenade finished the war as a Tiger II commander. SS-Uscha Paul Klose.
ОтветитьHitler was a dumb ass. He good generals around him but he listened to none of them.
ОтветитьIt's a wonder how German generals managed to look so distinguished in spite of what they represented and what they, as a whole, were doing.
ОтветитьAmazing video
ОтветитьFamous Unteroffier smoke, Handgrenade and that lambskin West🫡
ОтветитьThe infamous Von Meinstein ? He was tactical genius one of the best Germans the had !
ОтветитьThanks for the video a Crimean campaign video would be cool.
ОтветитьGreat video! 👍
