Again, Josh, you are getting your sea legs. Soon 100k will be 1 million. This goes along with my last post where I said the ministry is never more important than our own personal spiritual life, and we risk losing all we have built with a public moral failure. Years ago, the Lord gave a me a message called, Two things and two things only. I thought I should change the name or add a subtitle in parathesis. Who I was to say that only two things were needed today? But it was not "I" that was saying it. What were those two foundational things that so many lack today?

The OT gives us examples of NT principles of how we should build though Joshua going into the new land to rout out all the enemies (renewing our mind through the Word) and Nehemiah building up the walls (putting on the full armor of God). Two things, and two things only. How did we miss it? In the military we followed the acronym K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid).

Henry Nouwen states "The lostness of the elder son is much harder to identify. All all he did all the things right". But we know that the elder son doesn't have the right heart posture. He states "There are many elder sons and daughters who are lost while still at home".

❤I love the analogy of the iceberg. Most of our life must be unseen by others. Spent in the Spirit with His Spirit. Cause He is always speaking.
So many professional christians are driven by bible facts in the head, his own head, most of the time.
I observe this looking back at 55 years of experience as a believerYruing to walk as a believer. I have no stones to throw.
It only the love of God motivated all my life.
The true riches of Christ are found only in letting go of all the world. Only living before and by THE ONE,.THE FATHER. Whose Spirit is IN US. Thank you Lord, 4 calling us to enter ln. Life of God, continue to flow! Healthy discipleship is the missing ingredient right now. When I first began to really grow in the LORD in my college days in the '70s, He hooked me up with the Navigators. They recognized and taught this truth. Really glad to have that, foundationally.

Any ministry that charges money to receive, or that caters to the rich and the highly esteemed is not a true ministry.
Real ministry takes time for the needy and unwanted. Real ministry invites to their dinners and suppers the maimed and the lame and the poor, and invites the defective, the feeble minded and weak. Those who generally rejected and too poor to pay back. Does God value the bruised and broken and feeble-minded?
Does He reach out to sinners and feed them? Many religious leaders think they are too good to befriend those that the world considers unimportant. They wouldn't want to be seen with them unless it's for a promotion or to get donations. But their heart is not in it.
They are not brought to the special get togethers, they are not wanted at the pot lucks and church gatherings. And the religious are charging for many events and other events only those with money are taken time with or made friends with because they give donations and tithe;
Or they want to be seen with them at special events because they are important and influential. They might open doors.

This is good teaching. We have all wandered at times in many different ways. We have to humble ourselves and come home. To acknowledge and confess our faults and repent. The older son is also a prodigal and he doesn't realize he has wandered far away and must repent. He does not understand the state of his heart. The younger son knows he is a sinner. It's easier to bring a sinner to repentance than a religious person.

Luke 2
36 And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity;
37 And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the Temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.

Blasphemy is a low opinion of and lack of regard for the Holy Spirit that results in speaking with disrespect and lies. It is very spiritually dangerous to one's soul.

Women are equal in God's eyes.
Men having the responsibility to pastor a church does not in any way make them more valuable to God than we are.
What matters to God is that we all, men and women walk in humility and obedience to Jesus. That we confess our sins and repent. That we love God with all our mind and strength and heart and others as ourself. That we humble ourselves and minister to the needy.
That we purify our hearts. That we have clean hearts and do not defile our minds by taking in evil books, television or imaginations. That we bear the fruit of the Spirit according to Galatians 5 and love according to 1 Corinthians 13.
That is what God is looking for.
God doesn't want folks walking in pride.
Who has love? That is what matters.
That is how we get rewards in heaven.
It's not who preaches and who don't.
It's who has love and humility
and mercy and compassion.
That is how people know we are Jesus' disciples and belong to Him.

1 Corinthians 13
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing

What good does Daystar do?
And all the other television programs?

Did they preach the Gospel accordinging to 1 Corinthians 15?

Did they preach to confess sins and repent?

Did they build apartments for the homeless? There shouldn't be any homeless with all the money they all rake in?

Did they visit the maimed and the lame,
And the lonely? Or the broken hearted, feeble minded and weak, unwanted and rejected? The poor and the needy ? The nobodies?

What good did Daystar and other talk shows do for all the multiplied millions that they rake in every year?

Do folks need to sit on their couch and get warm fuzzies every day? Reading the Bible is more important, and not just a verse or two.

Revelation 3
And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead

If you don't confess your sins,
