Quest 3S vs Quest 2. Before You Upgrade!

While I do want to upgrade the Quest 3S I probably can't even do that because mostly when people say upgrade they would just sell the quest 2 to get Quest 3S there is no option to trade your Quest 2 for a Quest 3S. Technically that can work because both Quest 2 and Quest 3S are the same price it is just that If you want the more storage one you have to pay Extra for that. also I do like how as of right now Quest 2 will not be supported there will still be games and updates until it will eventually be all discontinued. For now it isn't really discontinued until they shut down the store then it's discontinued for good

I don't know you why you would make a video on this they're no longer selling quest too after the release of the quest 3S

The graphics resolution is actually not exacly equal between Q2 and Q3S. The display resolution is the same but the default eye buffer resolution at which Q3S effectively renders games is 30% higher than Quest 2 and is the same as Q3.
Q2 default eye buffer: 1440x1584 per eye
Q3S default eye buffer: 1680x1760 per eye
Q3 default eye buffer: same as Q3S

So if I upgrade my headset from quest 2 to 3s can I keep all my games on my quest 2 and transfer my quest 2 games to 3s?

another plus for the Q3S is that it supports the same prescription lenses from the Q2. I just wish that head straps were interchangeable so that I could use my Bobo vr strap from my Q2 to my Q3S.

Does it hurt less when you watch the screen after 30 minutes?

For me the most important thing was if it had more graphical capabilities.
I'm playing Jet fighter games and I really need more visibility range where graphics details are important.
It's not a hurry because the Quest 2 are decent, but I sometimes feel like I need more details.

Are my prescription lenses from my quest 2 compatible with the 3S?

What the quest 3 should have been so it should be flipped quest 3s is quest 2 not quest 3 because quest 3 is better then quest 3s because of performance but it is smart what they did for competition in sale so your buying a quest 3 for cheaper mainly passthrough with color the main difference from the quest 3 but yeah quest 3 is better over all but price is little bit more expensive so yeah smart to do this so get a Quest 3 for cheaper but the same from quest 2 just with color pass through maybe some other things ramped up but Quest 3 over still wins over all but yeah smart

It's so silly they called it 3S. Really it's a Quest 2 Plus lol. Quest 3 screens are way better, sorry. I just hope they do OLED generation 4. Once you go oled it's hard to go back. something the first quest did right

There really isn't any reason to "upgrade" from Quest 2 to 3S, unless Zuckerberg offered a compelling trade-in option, which he doesn't

Yes same Frensel lenses. But in quest 3s thanks to hardware identical to Quest 3, these lenses are run at full potential while in quest 2 no. So graphic rendering is better. Meta quest 3s is not a boosted Quest 2 but just a cheaper version of quest 3.

Its ok but i use mine with my pc. So i dont really think an upgrade is necessary. I think ill wait for the next generation of quest. God knows it wont take long for them to release a newer even better system
