True, but at the height of his glory years he was losing about two games a year and when he lost it made headline news around the world. Even now he occasionally pops out of retirement to play the odd game and can STILL beat 2700+ fide rated grandmasters EASILY.He even had the genius when he was younger to talk openly that kramnik would be a future world champion and he helped coach kramnik when the chess elite thought that kramnik would never make it so far. For me gary is STILL the man!

Nobody plays the game of chess like this man. I had the honor of playing him in a simul 10 yrs ago. I resigned after move 28. My elo rating is 1960.

Well I thought I did, until it all went horribly wrong.

But he did take over 30 seconds to consider one move, so I consider that as a result.

Well he has the balls to stand up for what he believes. Anyway all he was doing was peacefully standing outside a courtroom giving interviews to journos. The Putin Police physically assaulted and arrested him because that was their instruction from above. Fortunately Kasparov is so loved in Russia they won't get away with it this time.
