we have quite a few over the middle throws that are high probability picks if you cant thread the needle
ОтветитьI think we went from a temperamental under performing Camaro to a hard working reliable hummer
ОтветитьGeorgia State! Show us him playing a real team.
ОтветитьJoe Milton wasn't a gunslinger. It seemed like he overthought every pass
ОтветитьAs far as the QB competition between these 3 QB's, it will be the most competitive and thorough QB competition we've seen at TN in a long long time. The combined experience and skill of these three should really give us a high quality result winner for QB1. Likely no matter who wins it, Heupel may not telling us whose QB1 or whose even starting till game 1 in late August. Just like he did in 21. Why give teams the entire summer to only have to study one QB? Syracuse will be paying close attention but will have to scheme on D for all three. I think no matter who wins it Agular will start the first number of games and Merk and GMac will play more and more. Great as usual Bull! GBO!
ОтветитьI have this really weird feeling, that Joey is going to be absolutely phenomenal in this system and will perform even better in Tennessee's offense than he did at ASU. Just have a wonderful feeling.
ОтветитьBetter get as much weight as you can on McIntyre simplify the offense so he doesn't take as many hits and roll with him. He's a 5 star that's what you recruited him for freshmen have played in the past so can he. If this guy has turnover problems at appy state then what's it going to be with the speed of the SEC.
ОтветитьLove it. Great analysis.
ОтветитьI’m looking forward to this season , GO VOLS !!
ОтветитьI hope merk dont leave if he loses job
ОтветитьTeam will rally around this guy I think. Be nasty Vols be nasty.
Ответитьlove your breakdown makes easier for my dumb behind understand
ОтветитьIm liking this decision more and more from Huepel. Nico has all of the talent in the world but for some reason he doesn’t have the confidence and consistency to truly showcase it. I know 2024 was mostly on other players and on the bland predictable scheme but he had his moments of being totally lost and/or late in his processing. I think Joey Swag can really get some things done. What I don’t like is the lack of time that he has to do it in.
ОтветитьThanks Bull You explain football concepts in easy way to understand !!!
ОтветитьWe may end up needing all 3 of our QBs next Year… SEC QUARTERBACKING AINT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART
ОтветитьWatching your awesome video, it appears Joey gets the ball out far quicker than Nico or Joe. I may be wrong but the receivers appear to have that moment necessary to catch and secure the ball.
ОтветитьThe bottom line is this, no matter who our QB is this year, it almost has to be better than what we had last year in Nico. Lets face it, he was mediocre at best and our team made it to the playoffs in spite of his play. So, i see this as an upgrade to last year. We all were hoping and praying that Nico was gonna take some big step this year and live up to his 5 star ranking. With that said, i think our receivers will be better, our offensive line will be better and our running back stable will give us, once again, over 2000 yds on the ground this year. Also, our defense may take a step back but not a big one and will do plenty enough to give our offense a chance to score enough in each and every game. Im not sure why anyone would be feeling negative or feeling like our season is lost. If anything we should be excited and optimistic about this season. It wouldnt surprise me if this team rallies and makes the cfp again. 10-2 is not out of the question. Lets stand together and support these boys and just maybe we will see something special this year.
ОтветитьI think he will have a chip on his shoulder because of all the Bs and we will be fine GBO
ОтветитьI just hope to see some more dynamics offensive play calling. Every team knows it gonna be a screen, run, deep ball. Heupel is great just open up the play book.
ОтветитьTyler Bray had gunslinger mindset. Including beer bottles
ОтветитьThis is some really good film breakdown in such a short time! Thanks!
ОтветитьNothing against Joey, but are we thinking he will be the starter?
ОтветитьGreat analysis. Thank you.
ОтветитьMaybe somebody can explain this to me. What's the difference between Joey Aguilar and Shedeur Sanders except Aguilar runs better?
ОтветитьThis playbook is better in our playbook smh
ОтветитьThe only QB I would’ve liked more would’ve been the guy out of USF, but I’m excited
ОтветитьLet's go Jake or George!! For me
ОтветитьAguilar makes a decision and throws the ball. I like it.
ОтветитьThanks for breaking it down. Insightful and entertaining 🧐
ОтветитьLove the hat! Very dope
ОтветитьTennessee will fix those ints
ОтветитьYep when you think of gunslinger think Bret Favre. Can’t wait to see how this all plays out. GBO!
ОтветитьLove the quick release with minimal steps. That is a sign of an effective, wily quarterback. Would like to see his arm and release point a little higher. Also seems to throw off his back foot a lot rather than stepping into it, but it is a little late in the game to be worrying about trying to change that with only one year of eligibility. This is the first tape I have watched of him (will watch more), and despite the few qualms mentioned, he looks like a gamer. There is no substitute for heart and want to! GBO!!! 🧡🏈💪
ОтветитьIf Joey Halzle leaves him alone and isn't chattering in his ear constantly trying to correct every little error he perceives through every practice (like he did with Nico, who probably got a little tired of it), he may do quite well. (Halzle needs to learn to know when to keep quiet and just let a player play!). He will throw a few interceptions because he throws off his back foot a lot, but he will likely make up for it by being a determined gamer. I am thinking he will surprise some people, hopefully including his/our opponents, but not himself.
ОтветитьBull, there has been a lot of film breakdown on JA. Playing with a suspect OL, he did pretty well. I like that he has a short memory for bad plays and rips one on tight coverage.
ОтветитьThe nose of the ball seems to point up on some throws and sails on him a little. CJH will fix this; he might throw an INT, but he will have over 350 yards a game. UT's running game will be very effective with a "gunslinger" at the helm.
ОтветитьJA seems to have a great memory for his routes; he knows where the 1, 2, and 3 will be on the field. Defenders will have to respect the passing game.
ОтветитьNico had a bad habit of tucking and running when his #1 receiver was covered. JA will go through his progressions.
ОтветитьAlso, Nico could not read a defense if they told them what they were doing.
ОтветитьI can see him having a field day with UT's receivers. However, the speed of the game in the SEC may be a challenge. We'll see. Go, Vols!
ОтветитьHis WRs had 19 drops, which will improve with UT's receivers.
ОтветитьI’m an app state alum and was at the very first game Joey played for us. He is a dog. At the start of the 23-24 season, he was not the starter. He came in because Ryan Burger broke his thumb. Before he got on the field, the team was stagnant and lack luster. That quickly changed. I will never forget watching Joey come running down the sideline and throw his shoulder right into the teeth of the defensive back trying to tackle him about 5 yards from the end zone. He’s gotta clean up the turnovers but you guys should be excited. He’s got a ton of potential to succeed!
ОтветитьOnly thing is he hasn't been going up against SEC type of defenses. The only team he played to the equivalent was Clemson. 18 of 41 yikes. I'm a joey aguilar fan saying this.
ОтветитьAguilar is much better than Ieamaleava.
ОтветитьI remember when Nico played in the bowl game. His first start, I believe. His feet looked like Fred Flintstones. He was looking to run from the start. I believe he rushed for 4 TD'S. Well i thought he is young. Hopefully he will get better at staying in the pocket. But nope, he didn't. What did he do he blamed the players around him. The coaches. He did not take any accountability. Nico needs to learn to be a leader. I think this year. The QB'S we have are leaders. No matter who plays, it will be better or no worse.
ОтветитьJoe Milton wasn't a gunslinger. But he was a better leader. Media and others talked about JM. But Nico was no better.
ОтветитьLast year, the offense was at a limited play calling due to the QB. Just like when JM, it was very limited. We need a leader. A QB that does not look scared. Like Hooker was he was a leader. He had no fear. Nico had fear in his eyes the ebtire season. These QB should know the OL can't give you 5 mins to throw the ball. I think of all the players Nico threw under the bus. No way I want to play with a player like that. Heck couldn't even take him the SEC media days. He just can't be a leader. I think any QB we have now will be a leader.
