I read this book. Sometimes it is good not to show all of power that we have. Or sometimes pretend to be weak so that we can capture the enemy. You guys should watch My Journey to You. Medieval drama costume China that show how to use the art of war.

Book might have been innovative some thousand years ago.
Today it's just lame and totally overrated.

I recommend reading up on Sun Bin as well. It's a very interesting story. He was a supposedly a descendent of Sun Tzu according to folklore, and also a military genius. Basically his fellow military academy student Pang Juan resented his brilliance, so while they were serving together under the King of Wei he framed him. The King broke Sun Bin's kneecaps, humiliating him and basically ending his military career. However, Sun Bin knew he was still in danger, so he feigned madness and even ate sh*t in front of Pang Juan to convince him that he was truly mad and no danger to Pang. Pang fell for the ruse, and Sun Bin later escaped to Qi. Sun Bin became the Qi king's advisor by devising a strategy to help a Qi military general win a best-of-three-round horse racing competition against the King, when all three of the general's horses were inferior to their respective counterparts, by pitting the general's weakest against the king's strongest (a loss), the general's strongest against the king's 2nd strongest (a win), and the general's 2nd strongest against the king's weakest (a win). Later, Sun Bin campaigned against his old enemy Pang Juan, and employed strategies such as "besieging Wei to rescue Zhao" to crush him. In the end, Sun Bin laid a trap for Pang Juan where he ordered his troops to gradually reduce the number of cooking fires they lit on successive days, making Pang think his army was deserting and luring him into a valley at night. When Pang Juan held his torch to examine the carvings on a tree in the valley, it turned out the carvings said "Pang Juan dies under this tree". It was a trap, and Pang Juan died in a hail of arrows. Anyway, Sun Bin also wrote his own book, Sun Bin's Art of War.

Chinese wisdom but today. Probably the processed food industry is cheating it's customers and maybe the medical industry too, since one can live long and healthy if advised properly not to eat ultra processed food, but to live like in the blue zones instead, without any medical assistance, which often may also not be assistance but only presented as such.

In my opinion "The book of five rings" by Myamoto Musashi is the greatest strategy book ever written, better than "the art of war", solely for War purposes it might be better tho
