Love your channel! San Diego is my household's current choice of place to move to in a year and your channel has helped clear up so many questions. Thanks for all you do

You said the average income is 65k. If that is true how do people afford 2k -3k monthly house payments? I’m just wondering because I want to move back to San Diego but it seams impossible to get a loan. I know I would make more than 65k

No way San Diego utilities are 90%-110% of average price. We have the highest utility rates in the country. According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, San Diegans paid an average of 36.5 cents per kilowatt-hour last December. Los Angeles residents paid 34% less (24 cents) and Riverside County paid even less, 23.8 cents per kWh. I think Washington state is something around 9 cents with no tier rates and they don't really need to run AC.

Is it true, that on average, wages are low compared to the cost of living because a lot of people want to live there.

A city is no good if you end up on the streets.

You should do a video about if you think there is a real estate market bubble currently in San Diego and California. I grew up in San Diego but I'm currently in Arizona. I miss it a lot. I would love to move back but the cost of housing is insane. Housing has always been high there, but I think the prices of houses in SD are currently the highest they've ever been in history.

Love the videos! One question that I have is do you think a family of 4 could live in north San Diego with 5,000 a month?

Yes, San Diego is costly. If you don't make professional wages and are trying to raise a family, you would be better off living elsewhere. However, if you are single and make a nice living, S.D. offers an amazing lifestyle with walk able neighborhoods, nice beaches ,mountains and desert that offers outdoor recreation. The nightlife and beer scene is among the best in the country. The weather is amazing 9-10 months out of the year. Things have changed in the 30+ years I have lived here, but I have no desire to live anywhere else. Worth the money we pay to live here.

This sounds exactly like Massachusetts, except Massachusetts has awful weather, and the beaches are far away if you live in middlesex county.

My date nights were in Tijuana, Rosario, or Ensenada where me and wifey ate steak and shrimp for half price! Get a SENTRY pass and you can get clothes, got to the movies, ride horses on the beach, stay in an oceanfront hotel for dirt cheap. Saved me tons of money and we love going to MX.

Just sub to you! I born and raised in Idaho my whole life! Me and my roommates always wanted to move to LA, CA because of their entertainment industry! Like damn it’s really expensive to live if you move there! Of course there is a homeless crisis all over everywhere! It’s scary but crazy!

This map should be updated. The darkest orange areas should be all the way up to Carlsbad west of the 5 freeway. Any coastal community west of the 5 is in the extreme cost range with the exception of Oceanside to the extreme north of the county. Why did he call Carlsbad a military town? it absolutely isn’t. I guess this realtor lives in San Diego proper and sells south of Del Mar.

Hey! I'm Going straight out of high school and owning a apartment in San Diego, all together how much do you think a one bedroom apartment would be adding in all the utility bills and taxes? And what's the cheapest area to live in? Thank you

I would like to rent a nice two or three bed room town home or apt (town home preferably). Does not have to be the best area but would like a decent location with very low crime & diverse. Any suggestions ?
