And in reponse to my request as to how to ask permission from a particular man whom I wished to ask permission from for the songs to be listened to or sung by a group of children from Florida on their desire to get from Florida to Washington DC to ask for an end to the dreadful shooting deaths which had recently happened in their school Mr Cashman told me his true name since how else WD I be able to ask anything. That particular name I realise 2 yrs later not any person who believes they know this man's history actually know anything about it at all. And I certainly shall not repeat it here or anywhere else. I learnt this at some cost.

What a beautiful song. I love it that Springsteen, even in his darkest work, is always genuinely inspirational, and poetically positive. When is he going to get his Nobel for literature. In my view, he is as good a lyricist as Bob Dylan, and a far better musician.

I am normally a big booster of local bands at Jazz Fest but this was probably the most memorable set I ever attended. It was cathartic and heartbreaking all at the same time, and by the time he played this song, everyone was in tears. We all appreciated his advocacy for our hometown. RISE UP we did.
