The first one is not a knock on because the ball did not go forward. You can drop the ball in the in-goal and then score a try by pushing down on it while it is in contact with the ground. If you drop it straight down or backwards, the ref should let you play on. You don’t have to be holding the ball or in control of it to score a try. If the ball is in contact with the ground and you put downward pressure on it that is a try. This is clearly what happened.
ОтветитьIt’s the N.Z. Line outs that worry me.
Not very straight any the NZ Team always seems to be standing to far over.
Said this all along the officiating was an absolute disgrace and an indictment on world rugby. The officials ruined the game more than the quite average performances of both teams. Commentary was rubbish too. A mockery was made of rugby in this game. The officials should never adjudicate another first class fixture in my humble opinion.
ОтветитьYou missed what should of been muliple penalties to SA from the scrum... Also I have no problem with bongis try yes he loses contant but he regains it without it going forward that's not hard to see. TAS you are slipping
ОтветитьTerrible by the match officials
ОтветитьAB’s first run is a try. Simple. BONGIS ONE HOWEVER?!? Not even a second look at from the TMO HOW?!?!
ОтветитьGreat video - who was the TMO? Totally incompetent and not doing his/her job. The shot-clock thing is just embarrassing for everyone involved.
ОтветитьReferring and TMO was poor , it happens . Great analysis as always. The last off side was correct by the ref though. There is no benefit of doubt. Last mans feet is last mans feet. The player was isolated so take the time to get on sides
ОтветитьAg shame
ОтветитьI think you cant “asume” the intent of a player when making a call thats horrible refereeing. The intent of the player trying to hold it up/rip it has nothing to do with what actually will and did happen… this can go both ways
ОтветитьBongi’s try is a try, according to the laws. 1st there is no clear separation, he just needs downward pressure. There after is the rip attempt. Hans on ball is considered a rip, irrelevant of your perspective.
ОтветитьThe last one is a pen all day, Ardie makes two attempts at that ball. One while he is jumping back and still offside and the second when he has landed. The first one is essentially preventing Steenekamp from presenting the ball properly. That is an old trick.
ОтветитьThe question remains what happens to the refs when they screw up with their shitty calls and are in many cases the reason for teams losing a game?
There are rules that they should know and can not even execute them properly..world rugby should begin to take these refs on with fines and suspensions??????
Do not agree with you, it was a clear attempt at stripping the ball, attempting a tackle with Bongi in that position already would not have been effective, Anyhow water under the bridge.
ОтветитьAs a NZ fan and was born in NZ and lives in NZ I just want the referees to be fair. This TMO was shocking. Crazy that Sam Cane wasnt sent off and and Mckenzies shot clock already reached 40 seconds and the ref does nothing. Also that first try from SA. Shocking TMO and ref!!!
Ответить"We need more TMO intervention!"
More TMO intervention happens
"No! This sucks! We must make the game faster!"
Less TMO intervention to speed up the game
"No! This sucks! We need more TMO intervention!"
Seriously, pick a lane and stick to it.
So the one head on head contact that actually leads to a blood injury doesn't get checked by the TMO. This is mind-blowing
ОтветитьThen i read all over the comments by NZ fans how the referee favoured South Africa..
ОтветитьFor such high profile games like these, they need the best referees and officials World Rugby has to run the game.
ОтветитьHow can this still happen? Shocking
ОтветитьI am neutral, there is no clear separation in Bongi’s try, no matter what you say from those angles you do not see it.
On the other things I agree. Southern emisphere country do not want the TMO as it slows the match. This is what you got
The rules of rugby need to be clearer because the adjudicators have far too many things to look at and process in split seconds which is leading to incorrect decisions.
ОтветитьMcKenzie just needs to kick the damn thing sick of his smile there’s a shot clock now dude should be professional enough to count in his head
ОтветитьGo outside and touch grass homie :'D If the team isn't obsessing over this, you shouldn't
ОтветитьYou forgot the strip by Marx at the end when Darry’s knee had clearly hit the ground……ref should have called tackled. But good on you for calling out the first SA try.
ОтветитьLaw says strip or knock champ 😂 not so straight forward and try time
ОтветитьLook like one of these days we gone play touch rugby these days that player if you just look at him his injured look. More take naas out broke his ribs next sat naas give them the boot at newlands we gone play touch rugby one of these days
ОтветитьIt's as bad as the world cup final. Nz robbed again as per usual
ОтветитьNonsense
Dit SA 2 lost the ball forward or straight down, or did the Al black knok it forward.
Your analysis is very sided on the SA 2 try.
It is clear he did not lose the ball forward.
Bongi's try is good. He does loose control of the ball but it's either knocked backwards or forward by 12 Black. It stays behind his arm at all times. The ball is still in front of the of the tryline. Bongi regathers the ball and takes it over the line. No problem at all.
ОтветитьBoth teams played DAMN well 👍
Its the Muppet TMO and Referee from this game that confused many players and supporters on their rulings. Rugby is a GREAT Game and is slowly getting KILLED by these finger trigger TMOs and softyboy Referees who cant make their own minds up heavily relying on TMOs. 🥸🥸🥸🥸🥸🥸🥸🥸
I am a Springbok supporter and , I totally agree with the Allblacks supporters , how do you put a referee in charge of the biggest test in 2024 and he has only refeed T2 nations. It is as if he wanted to be the highlight in this test. He missed calls on both sides at pinacol moments. Winning a test match is unbelievable, but winning with the ref costing the loosing side the game is not a fair result. Cant wait for todays game. Going to be epic.
ОтветитьRule 11.5
ОтветитьYes the ref and tmo need to get more training .. very poor decisions .. not up to the required standard
ОтветитьNo on number 1. Bongi loses control, but it goes straight down. No one else touches possession, Bongi touches try. There is no knock on because it does not go forward. This is actually pretty simple.
ОтветитьAccording to world rugby TMO try/no try protocol flow chart Bongi’s try is a try.
ОтветитьThis is the type of guy feminists are referring to specifically when they say "I can do twice as good a job as any man". . . any man that's like this guy yes
both these games had dogsh17 refereeing, last night's game had some bad calls too. That touch by Etzebeth for the first try, that was clearly on the line, I dunno wtf those guys were looking at
Are the referee board looking at the referee in a game. Is anything been done. The referee in the second test SA vs NZ. He overlook All Black faults.
ОтветитьIs the TMO a cheat?
ОтветитьIt was poor refereeing on the day. It's still a great game of rugby by both teams
Ответитьyou should make another one of these for N.Z vs S.A 2 this past Saerday
ОтветитьRule 11 section 5 "The ball is not knocked-on, and play continues, if:
A player rips or knocks the ball from an opponent and the ball goes forward from the opponent’s hand or arm." the rule is not only rips it includes knocking the ball i.e. making contact with the ball.
@tasanayltics will you please explain in the most recent Springboks vs All Blacks game why Tyrel Lomax got a bunker review? I though they were only for head contact, but did not see anything that looked like head contact in the bump to Cheslin Kolbe
ОтветитьA ball lost in a backward or downward movement is still in play and can be retained by a player and then play can continue. Thats a try…
The NZ try seemed marginal but possibly obstruction.
That head contact to Siya should have been a yellow at least a red possibly. Also no review, rightfully you call there why no review, why do we have them then?
The shot clocks were atrocious. If the ref can’t handle it then why have a rule for it? Or should that duty be put on the tmo that can see the clock on the feed more clearly?
Terrible ref, they should not use him for any consequential matches anymore. He is still a decent respected ref but dang bud you doing the 3 and 4 play off for the World Cup final and never the final with a record like this…
The problem with your last clip - We don't need common sense. We need the rules to be correctly applied. You should only be concerned with if the NZ player was offside - Not an opinion about common sense. Doesn't matter if 17 was isolated. So, Was NZ offside? Was this the correct call? I would argue calls should always be technically, correct? Right?
ОтветитьWaiting to hear what you have to say about the great refereeing in the SA vs Argentina game.
ОтветитьWith the 2023 RWC, springboks fans can't complain about referees for at least 2 years
ОтветитьYou have not posted anything in weeks ,are you okay ?
ОтветитьEagerly awaiting the analysis on Ben Smith the rugby journalist….
