Pixel Remaster: Finally I am getting around to this, as with previous comments I just want to mention comparisons in either the translation or the mechanics, of which I am expecting major ones in both categories. I will probably miss some things but hopefully it works out. Right off the bat, the music opening and intro is superb. The theme when going up through to the city of Narshe and how Narse shows up on the Horizon were well done as well. Also somehow even though its a bit more pixelly, Narshe is much more obvious in the background in the opening cutscenes. Magi is a term from the classical world, its various pronunciations are related to which part, whether latin or persian.

Watching this in 2022 with the recently-released Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster. Since it’s directly based off the original, it should work.

This was the first Let's Play I ever watched waaayyy back in late 2010. Time for another watch.

Played this game inside and out as a kid back in the day and let me tell you, I could never figure out how they could fit so much story and content into one cartridge.

Who talks about Biggs and Wedge when they bring up Star Wars? Who talked about Star Wars in 1994, outside maybe of comic books? I'd say it's pretty easy to mis-translate if you don't know beforehand.
I saw an article in a 1991 Nintendo Power about Star Wars coming to NES and at 11, I thought, "why are they making a game about that old movie?" ... and Episode I was still 8 years away...

My first FF game was crystal chronicles, the most memorable thing about FF6 for me was kefka, although many people love FF7 and some like 4. The only thing about FF8 I remember is that faceless squall is a nightmare. and I enjoyed watching FF15.

Wedge is a character, but Vicks is not. You're confused with Biggs

When this game came out it had the best graphics in the world. (I don't know about PC games cuz I never grew up with a PC and didn't even get my first laptop until I was 25)

This game blew me away when I was growing up. I even like this game more than FF4 and 7. Yup. One of these best games of ALL time. If you grew up in the time period that HCBaily and I grew up, then you would feel the same. I never grew up with a PC. This game is SO ahead of its time. It's very mature too. After FF7, everything just goes downhill for the most part in my eyes. They lose focus on what FF really is and what it's supposed to be about. Lame voice acting/costumes and terrible main characters like Squall and especially Titus. (which in my opinion is the worst main character in any RPG ever) The music and art/settings/graphics in FF6 art beyond amazing. The music in this game is soooooo freakin perfect. All the script and characters in this game are the coolest. I could go on forever on how much I love FF6

Hiya! I'm planning on watching this at some point (you are amazingly detailed in your guides!), and I'm also planning on playing the game for the first time, too. Before I get to this point, I'm just curious, do you try to show all the special cutscenes in the game? I want to experience as much as I can in this game, but I can't seem to find an easy, comprehensive list of who to bring and when for certain scenes.

HCBaily, have you played the steam version of this game? If so would you recommend it?
