Wow, hardcore!
ОтветитьI was waiting for the Bodyguard to turn face and attack Write due to his use of the nazi flag. did that ever take place?
ОтветитьKid in the audience giving the Nazi salute. You've gotta be kidding me.
ОтветитьNot a real good product placement for Mello Yello.
ОтветитьIts a gimmick you idiots Ron Wright is a legend
Ответить@NWAfan I think draping a Nazi flag over the desk as a gimmick overshadows him being a legend.
Ответить@timmy8271b have you wondered about who actually was the booker that allowed this or told them to do it?
Ответить@PeeboTyson Looks more like he's throwing up a peace sign to me. Which is still mental.
ОтветитьWhy so Anal. Its a fucking TV show. Get over this Nazi shit that happened 60 years ago and thousands of miles away.
ОтветитьThousands miles away? You don't think Neo Nazi's don't live in america? Anyways, It was a cheap way of heel heat and if I was Mello Yellow, I would have been pissed.
ОтветитьWow this is rather uh, extreme. And that's granting some leeway with this being Memphis, which has always been wild (the same territory where Doug Gilbert called the top babyface Jerry Lawler a child rapist after he was charged with that very crime and referred to the guy in charge of the promotion as a crack smoker). I try not to get offended by this sort of crazy stuff as long as no one's being violent.
ОтветитьAs uniquely shocking and horrific as Nazism is,it's interesting that other sorts of characterizations don't cause quite as much shock. For example, Col. DeBeers in the AWA as a So. African character promoting apartheid (and calling Jimmy Snuka all kinds of racial names) or a Soviet character (in the days when they were running gulags and mowing down protestors). Though I guess in those cases, there isn't the same sort of identifiable imagery or a singular iunfamous leader they claim to represent.
ОтветитьYeah, definitely a peace sign.
ОтветитьAnother tasteful wrestling angle.
ОтветитьThis was USA Wrestling out of Knoxville owned by the Fullers who ran Southeastern Championship and Continential in Alabama.
ОтветитьThe old school wrestling podcast brought me here
ОтветитьBad news. Ron Wright has passed away. He will be missed by mat fans and heel lovers.
ОтветитьRest in piece King of Kingsport!
ОтветитьR I P RON
ОтветитьI agree with what Ron's son said. It's a work. RIP Mr. Wright. You were very talented.
ОтветитьRIP Stomper.
ОтветитьThat bodyguard look like draymon green
Ответитьlol...jesus I laughed. thats beyond over the top.
ОтветитьThis is a bad angle, but in no way does it minimize Ron Wright's legacy as a heel. By the same logic, the ridiculous necrophilia Katie Vick angle should have ended HHH's career. But most people have forgotten it by now. Difference being that HHH is a prick in real life that Vince has allowed to ruin the business. This was small potatoes compared to that stuff.
ОтветитьRon Wright was way ahead of his time. RIP
ОтветитьThose pussies at WWE could not even touch this today. Not by miles
ОтветитьWow, and we think the heat Roman gets today is bad. Ron is the must underappreciated heel in wrestling history.
ОтветитьBack when heels were actually allowed to be heels and draw some damn heat. No way this would fly in this day and age, the oversensitive crowd would be all up in arms and Vince would make the heel break kayfabe and apologize on Twitter.
ОтветитьWhen wrestling was wrestling lol an that’s coming from a Asian guy
ОтветитьWhat promotion is this?
ОтветитьThis is the most diverse group of Nazi-sympathizers I've ever seen.
ОтветитьBooking the Territory podcast brought me here
ОтветитьNow this is heat.
ОтветитьRon Wright was a mfk'n genius, his bodyguard was black.....
ОтветитьNow that’s how you get heel heat!!!
xoxo The Clarences
Ron Wright is the greatest wrestler all time
ОтветитьRon Wright was my cousin and it was a big thrill to go out to the Civic Auditorium and watch a night of wrestling and cheap thrills for a dollar. I always had a laugh when some little old lady would be standing beside the right shaking her finger at him and giving him what for, and he would lean out of the ring and give her that leering smile and point at her and say "I got your dollar didn't I!" which cause her to go at him again with that finger and shouting at him as loud as she could and Ron would egg the crowd on and strut around the ring so everybody got their chance to say what's on their mind. He could sure get folks agitated and in his words of why he played the bad man all the time, "They pay me more for doing it." And then he would have that smile. I sure miss him.
Daryl Wright
the white suit and the top hat and dont forget the cane Ron Wright was ahead of his time with his beloved Stomper
ОтветитьThis is awesome, id do this today
ОтветитьWas this program being broadcast on national television?
If so: astonishing….
Back when people could handle humor without going berserk
ОтветитьGordon Solie is WOKE!!!
ОтветитьA multiracial stable of wrasslers led by an ornery Southern gentleman drape a Nazi flag over a desk with a six pack of Mellow Yellow.
Now that's some Grade A 100% Dollar General heat. Or a really wild acid trip.😂
This is when wrestling wasn't a social justice movement
ОтветитьRIP Ron Wright, Stomper, Moondog and Mr. Solie
