When the dealer told me that the 2020 Honda Fit that he had quoted over the phone at 16.5 K had suddenly include 5 K in bullshit, I said no, he said he had to go talk to his manager. I said, sure, while you do that my wife and I will drive home and you will eat a discontinued Honda Fit. I ended up paying 16.5K. I got lucky. Five years later it's only 2 K less.
ОтветитьThese are first world problems it’s kind of whatever, there’s always another place to shop
ОтветитьMy god the price on some of those cars I could buy a rental property instead.
ОтветитьWatch out for Grubbs Acura. Those guys sent me out with a 17k miles TLX with bad rotors and almost non existent brake pads. Surprisingly, I couldn't hear any sounds coming from the brakes during the test drive. I'm not sure what they did, but their deal was bad and their mechanics are sketchy as all get out.
ОтветитьSo, Cadillac huh?
ОтветитьMetro Ford in Oklahoma City is the WORST about addendum crap.
ОтветитьNever never financing with the dealer, never
ОтветитьHow about buy 1 get 3 free ?
Ответитьso is it better to not buy from a dealership?
ОтветитьChina knows all about rock that’s what all the cool kids are doing just lying flat
ОтветитьWalk into a dealership tell them you want their lowest price today not tomorrow and believe me I will walk across the street for a F-cking nickel, they will call you back the next day but you don't have to respond right away
ОтветитьThis is atypical of the high-flying-big city dealerships where everything is overly polished and designed to make you feel good. You're more likely to find a halfway decent dealership (although it's not always the case) in a small town that's in the middle of nowhere. I like to talk to locals to find the best places. Gotta be willing to strike a conversation in a grocery store parking lot. Find the car you're looking for in the parking lot and approach the owner/driver; and be friendly and not creepy, and ask about the car (or truck, or whatever) and where they bought it and how that went. Most people in smaller towns will answer your one question about the car by telling you all about not just the car, but also about the dealership, the church the salesman goes to, the finance process, that they know the owner and that he smokes too much but is otherwise an honest man, the grandma that was also there that day looking for a small pickup that can carry flowers, her little dog and where she takes it for grooming, and the restaurant down the street that serves the absolute best "punk'n" pie.
All of that information will proceed to narrow down your choice to what you're really after WAAAAY quicker than any yelp review.
I remember when I was a kid, a dealership was advertising a stress-free, no haggle price policy. Saying that the price on the sticker was the price you paid! No questions asked!!! My 12 year old mind went...HUH?????!!!!!
ОтветитьCapitalism is so great, isn't it?
Ответить[laughs in old $20k cash jeep] These people are such suckers for buying these things. Up to the gills in debt, living paycheck to paycheck and driving an idiot's behemoth.
ОтветитьThe only APPROPRIATE way to get "pre-approved" is look at your checking account balance. Do you have the cash? Then you can proceed with the purchase of the car. Do you not have the cash? Then choose something else that you can afford.
ОтветитьI remember a dealership tried to charge me for additional dealer installed accessories as the vehicle just came off the truck and didn't have time to even be inspected by the dealer.
Ответить2024 Nissan Armada with $1,450 additional dealer markup.....aren't they on the verge of going bankrupt???
ОтветитьDid my eyes deceive me or was that $44,498.00 for a Corolla? No wonder there’s cobwebs on these cars sitting and rotting in the lots.
ОтветитьWhy can't i buy from the factory?😂
Ответитьbrother thomas what about teslas, 7.5k tax credit no dealership is it the dream?
ОтветитьIt shouldn’t be this complicated as hell to buy a car. We should be able to just buy it for whatever it worth and that’s it almost as if it were any regular transaction.
Ответитьback in august 2024 i went to go look at a car at a cadillac dealership and they didn’t even have keys to unlock it and on my way back to the office i had the salesman trying to get me to put down a $5000 non refundable deposit so i could make sure nobody else buys the car, i walked away and didn’t come back and the car is still on their website to this day lol
ОтветитьIdk 8 years ago I went to a small dealership to get my first car. I was 21 years old and decided to finance a used 2015 mazda and my credit was in the 600s at the time. I had a 6% interest rate on the car which I thought was pretty good at the time for being young, low credit, and never financed a car before. Car was $11,000 with 40,000 miles. I still have it, paid off, and have never had an issue with the car. This might be true for the big name brand dealerships, but some smaller dealerships can give you good deals
ОтветитьThe only dealership that doesn't swarm you with salesman are motorcycle ones. They will use the same shady tactics if you actually want to buy though.
ОтветитьThere's not a single vehicle worth their price anymore, so I won't be buying one.
ОтветитьI just tell em I'm only there to look and get an idea of prices, but not gonna buy from them. Then they leave me alone.
Ответить132k for a truck… yeah okay buddy 😅
ОтветитьI live in Lakeland, Fl and there is one dealer group that has a sucker sticker on every new car on every line. Chevvy, Honda, Kia, and a couple more. One of the items on this $2499.00 sticker is a 20 year motor warranty. I'm 83 years old, so even under the best of circumstances, that warranty is useless. The only reason I'm even at that dealer is for service since I just moved here from Oklahoma.
ОтветитьScrew. Stealerships.
There are no good guys all the way down from corporate, to manufacturing, to dealers, to financers. Only bad part about tariffs I saw was that it would prop up the US auto industry as it is. Let korea and Japan hurt them in manufacturing, but patronize no one's dealership
Well said, never talk payments, talk OTD price. The #1 thing in car buying.
ОтветитьPre approval is the way to go.
Walked in to a dealership with a check from my credit union with an outstanding rate and made an offer, walked out with the vehicle in about a half hour.
Didn’t have to listen to a bunch of lies and snake oil salesmanship.
If you never go you won't have to leave immediately.
ОтветитьOr, just buy a Tesla and never deal with dealer dishonesty again. Buying a car doesn't have to be complicated or painful.
ОтветитьThese prices are completely ridiculous I honestly have no idea how ppl are affording any of this
ОтветитьI’ve never bought from a dealer.
Always low miles first owner buys.
Every time I go to the dealer I need to go home and take a shower
allways remember guys. a deal needs 2 people and they need to sell that car but YOU don't need to buy it. stay away from unserious dealers and don't play their games.
ОтветитьNever buy from a dealership
Ответить$76k for a Genesis GV60 is jjst outrageous 🤕🤕. That car is a sub 50k vehicle in the UK 😂😂😂
Ответитьmy used car broke and its permanently out of service and im not buying an automobile. im done
ОтветитьNitrogen is free at Costco tire centers
ОтветитьYou sir missed the point.
Fuk stealerships, fuk the shit quality vehicles they dump on people. Fuk the manufacturers. In short fuk the car industry, it will crumble because of the greed.
always tell them you have your own financing, but then make sure you say "well, lets see what you can for me, as long as you keep me at the buy rate" and then make them show you what the bank offered. if they are worth doing business with, this won't be a problem. :)
ОтветитьBetween tariffs, inflation and rising interest rates dealerships are going to be sitting on a lot of cars soon.
ОтветитьIf it’s two years old it should be 30% off.
ОтветитьSimplest way to buy a new car.
Go to the dealership, Tell them what vehicle you’re looking for. When they start asking questions tell them you’re just there to drive the vehicle that you can afford it and leave it at that. If that have an issue with that leave. If they don’t great drive the car. Purchase car using cash and leave. That simple folks. I was in and out of the dealership in less then 45 minutes when I bought my new vehicle. That’s test drive included
44k for Corolla? What is going on..
ОтветитьThe word “no” is your best friend. Use it regularly and stick to it.
ОтветитьForget dealers, find someone you know who is known to get a new car every 2 or 3 years. Make them an aggressive offer when they want to unload and get the loan personally. So much less stress and the level of bullshit is minimized if not eliminated. It's not rocket science.
Ответить
