Four throws over 22 meters while injured. Who in the history of track and field has performed so consistently at the highest level over this number of years? In any event? Maybe Carl in the long jump, especially compared to jumpers now. And being injured just seems to make him throw farther.

Watching Crouser in person was an amazing experience. The entire stadium got so quiet when it as his turn a few times, it felt like the women's 100m final a few times.

Watching the measurers just guess at the impact point really makes you wonder when you're talking centimeters of difference determining the Olympic team.

Watch the video at 1/2 speed and see if you think they got the right spot Joe's shot hit. I saw two throws mismarked. Just my observation.

I didn't know this before I looked it up but I was wondering why the men's distance wasn't much further than the women's. Well, the men's ball weighs 16lbs and the women's weigh 8.82. That's quite the difference.
