You forgot to mention that the 1,024 Nvidia A100's used to train the model are about $40,000 a piece, if you buy them individually. I sure they got a better deal though, and they didn't pay that much for the lot considering how many of them we're talking about.

Many of these learned weights will be near zero, i.e. irrelevant, but the multiplications will still happen. One thing that this video made me imagine was the ability in near future (don’t ask me to define the time horizon) to be able to ‘have’ the most advanced brain (thanks to SNN) available for each of human being. I can’t explain but it’s another level compared to implementing chip or Matrix analogy.

Is that same kind of calculation as with Bitcoin? Simply taking overall consumption and dividing it by requests/transactions? Flawed logic.

why would ai want to mimic the human brain? it isn't human and has no need for just about all the brain can do, like be emotional, unreasonable, mentally unwell, get confused, dream, like drugs, experience pain, eat, sleep, reproduce, pay rent, buy food, have a career, fall in love, get dumped, crash the car, lie endlessly, be a saint, be good, be bad, fail, experience hunger or recall random 40-year old songs you never liked. And anyway, we already have a human brain duh.
