I have watched Mark for years on and off and read many comments about his death. My conclusion is he was a great storyteller.

I've watched more of his videos interviewing & giving advise to foreigners based on his personal experiences in Phils. I am very surprised he was gone! If I didn't see his wife's latest video I would think he is just having a break on YT. His wife's YT post turned the comments off. The good thing is he had a great time living in Phils. before passing away.

I'm 6min in and it's heartbreaking to hear he thinks the vax did that much damage. I wonder if he means to people like him that had heart trouble in the past or in general? Here in the US, if the husband receiving SS pension and passed away the wife is entitled to receiving the deceased husband SS pension if she is taking care of their young children. I’m almost sure it is the same even if she live in the Philippines 🇵🇭. Someone helped Jen and her young one who is also eligible to receive SS until 18 years old

It’s ironic that everyone always blames the vaccine which is never the cause but convenient. He did have Covid, which does increase your risk of cardiovascular events, unfortunately. If he had to do over, I’m sure he would take his statin daily along with the blood pressure medicine. That definitely was prescribed, although he doesn’t mention it.

Everyone should be tested for lp(a) once. It is hereditary, so you don’t need to test more than once. It’s not commonly done in the United States, but is now recommended in Europe and Canada. If you have a history of heart disease in your family often times that is why.

One thing about living in the Philippines is that your really do not know where your medication is coming from, is it fake, is it not really the dosage stated....If u live in a big city you have choices where to buy your meds, if u live in the province then good luck. I have had only fair medical coverage when i lived in cebu city for 7 years. I was having them shipped from the USA, but the Philippines govt started to block my shipments. So i had to buy in cebu city, i had a infection last year. The doctor in cebu gave me meds, i started to have problems moving and pain. I messaged my doctor in the USA, she said get out of there. They gave me the wrong meds, and way too much. I flew back to the USA, i got better in 2 weeks. I moved back to the USA, now i only visit the PI once a year

I enjoyed the video. I always found his channel interesting. I do wonder if he had stuck to Keto more if that might have helped his system more as he was watching his diet for a bit.. That last hat (Freedom) is perhaps sadly appropriate~

I just learned of Mark‘s death and was shocked. He interviewed me twice and did an excellent job. I then find your interview with him days before his passing. Having survived a motorcycle accident myself a year and a half ago I am aware of how precious life is and how it can end in a flash.
I have been living for seven years on the island Garden City of Samal a 15 minute ferry boat ride from Davao.
I have many stories to tell and would welcome a chance to meet you.

Mark seemed like a good guy. I enjoyed his interviews. He really handled them professionally.

I saw Mark when he first started. I thought the whole story about setting up photography on cruise ships how he was cheated out of $1 million was a whole lotta BS. I didn’t go for the boo-hoo story. But he did clear a path over there in the Philippines and started making money.

Wow! You do have the unique distinction of participating in Mark Thorton's last video. Glad I got to see. I was a subscriber on his Vlogg, but only on an occasional viewer. There no doubt in my mind his wife will marry another foreigner sometime down the road. She had a good taste of life with a foreigner already.

Mark was a moron for cutting out medication that was prescribed. He was a time bomb waiting to explode. Never liked the guy.

If on meds and BP is good, you don’t stop meds. It’s the meds that keep your BP good .

Great interview. I wish he would have went deeper into his family failures that led him to his lowest points so we can learn. He achieved our upmost goals. End in paradise and have an interesting fulfilling life... He was the Man, and he was the Story. His regular videos will be missed.

He never looked that great in recent weeks despite what everyone said. Just remember if you get sick in the Philippines they don't even have an ambulance service so don't expect to survive any emergency. The Philippines has a very young population for a reason, because hardly anyone makes it to old age.
