There are five reasons why you need an online marketing strategy. Number one, it's about clarity. If you try to do marketing without having a marketing strategy is like trying to build a thousand piece puzzle without seeing the completed picture. The marketing strategy should act as a roadmap for your business, so that you know exactly what needs to be focused on, when and by whom.

Number two, focus. If you have a detailed action plan to give a listing all the tasks that need to be done, and how it relates to your objective, then you will understand how to focus on the 20% that gives you 80% of the results. And, that's what it really boils down to, because everybody has this shiny object syndrome where they're chasing multiple ideas, instead of focusing down on ideas that we know are gonna deliver results.

Third point, project management. If you have a detailed action plan, listing who is responsible, what their objective is, and by when it would be done, you have a detailed roadmap that you can work towards in regards to the execution of these tasks.

Number four, making data-driven decisions. Having marketing strategy with all this research that goes into it, from competitor research, looking at the type of content your competitors post, all of this data will help you make better data driven decisions.

And, the final point, point number five, being proactive and not reactive. If you have a marketing strategy and you've got all these tasks laid out, you will be able to be proactive in regards to the optimization of your campaigns and your website. And, this will allow you to treat your entire project as agile, and this is really what an innovative type of company is after. A marketing strategy, summed up, is super important. Spend the time, invest the money, get a good marketing strategy, and get ahead of your competitors.
