I've heard dyson has released a new series of their stick vacs called the gen5. Maybe you can ask them to send you one over for a future review. Looks promising
ОтветитьAwesome review
ОтветитьNice video! I bought one but I can’t attach the hair screw tool to it!
ОтветитьCHECK OUT The problems with Dyson Gen5 Detect cordless vacuum cleaner [*very interesting & informative*]

For a review which HIGHLIGHTS NEGATIVES in a frank honest review and much more informative
Is it possible to overcharge the battery? Or does it automatically stop charging when its full and on the wall mount?
ОтветитьCan’t wait for the new gen5 detect review soon
ОтветитьThanks, i like that they are so light. Im going to get one.
ОтветитьBest review I’ve seen so far!! Thanks a lot!!!
ОтветитьI tried on my carpet,, doesn't work, keeps shutting off 🤨
ОтветитьTHANK YOU!!!!!!
ОтветитьAwesome review! Thank you so much.
Ответитьno more videos
ОтветитьHi . I love your reviews!
I tried this vaccum and I think is very quiet with the fluffy brush, the other brush makes lot of noise comparing to the fluffy one right ??
Thank you for this thorough review. I am debating between the V 12 and the V 15. I have watched a couple of other reviews and I guess what I have to offer other readers is that our use case is a large home with multi surface floors, two kids and one cat. We didn’t have a problem with the dust bin filling up on our previous Dyson V7. We use the cordless vac for quick touchups around the kitchen and dining area. I believe lightweight and push button outweighs heavier, and larger dustbin in our case. I want our little kids to learn to help us with this task, too.
Question: if you purchase an extra battery, and you have the charger connected to the wall mount, how do you keep the extra battery charged when the charger is being used for the main unit?
Are you doing any new videos soon? I miss your great reviews!
ОтветитьReally good review, especially with the explanation of tool maintenance. Great job!
ОтветитьVery good review! Thank you!
ОтветитьI have been using the V11 Torque Drive for the past few years and over the last few months, I experience an issue where it would keep running even after releasing the trigger. I have to hit the battery to get it to stop. I am looking for something that is lighter and does not have a trigger and it sounds like the V12 may be my best option. However, most of my vacuuming is done on low pile carpet. In your honest opinion, would the V12 be sufficient enough to remove dirt, debris, and cat hair from the carpet, even on the automatic/medium mode?
ОтветитьHey guy, sorry to hear you been under the weather. Get well soon ! I’ve been a vac guy for years, tho not professional. Mostly, I get vacs at the dumpsters. I take them apart, clean, sanitize, and get new filters for them. One of my favorite modern vacs is the Dyson upright ball. Old school - def the Electrolux classic. Anyway, I have refurbed two Dyson cordless - sv9, and more recently a v10. Two glaring things I do not like are the small canister, and difficult disassembly for deep cleaning. But I suppose like most modern appliances, they are “disposable”. I guess that’s ok if you can afford a new one every two years - Yikes !
Ответитьin your opinion would a V12 be powerful enough for a 2200 sq ft home includes both floors .... mostly hardwood with , numerous area rugs.....one room with carpet.....we have one pet...also is it powerful enough to do a good job cleaning your car ? i guess my only concern would be the smaller dust bin.....if it lasts for one floor that would be perfect...i must admit i like the idea of a power button and the lighter weight just as long as it does a very good job cleaning....its 899 here in Canada.....V15 detect 999 / outsize plus 1249 / Gen5 detect 1199........i will want to buy a spare battery and Detail Kit.....i look forward to your opinion i think i am very close at deciding finally...lol...thx again for your review...cheers from Canada
ОтветитьLooking to upgrade from a shark vacuum we’ve had for almost 10 years now. Trying to get to figure out why these vacuum cleaners are so expensive before I buy one for Black Friday lol
ОтветитьLiked your test.... which brand did the best overall? I'm looking to purchase a hand held? Thank you
ОтветитьSo I just ordered the v15, I thought about trading for gen5 outsize I have 3 dogs, help
ОтветитьThank you for this review. I received the v12 slim as a gift
Ответитьis the V12 220/240V?
ОтветитьWhat is the maximum square footage home do you recommend for the v12?
Ответитьnice work
ОтветитьExcellent review as always - I tried every incarnation of Dyson Cordless and have returned every single one of them. It is an awesome lineup, however the battery run time is atrocious and makes this a super expensive toy no matter what convenience you get for 5 min run time on max.
ОтветитьAgree. This is an excellent review. Helped understand features/how to use better than any other! Thank you.
ОтветитьThis guy's BDE is off the charts. His ween is bigger than a Dyson wand.
ОтветитьThank you for your help! Dyson will not help at all!! Their customer service is the absolute worst, it really is shockingly BAD!!
ОтветитьGREAT tip about buying a second battery!! Best, most helpful video for this machine!! I couldn't get help anywhere else! When will the machine last for an hour?
ОтветитьWhat mode will give me the best suction?
Ответитьbro is the bob ross of vacuums
ОтветитьLove this vacuum but on my carpet kinda hard to push because of the suction
ОтветитьOne of the best review I've seen in a long time. Outstanding job. Thanks for taken time to share this with us.
Ответитьbest review of anything i have ever seen in my life!
ОтветитьGood evaluation but all of the test are done at a crawl speed.. At those speed, it would take my wife a week to clean the floors !. Suction capacity is very important to consider. Especially if you already have an absolute V-8. The V-8 in eco mode has a better suction capacity compared to the V-12 ! This,is the deal breaker! The only reason Dyson is slowing the speed of the V12 is to get the target one hour of operation.. And yes.. it dose, but the V8 absolute is already missing some suction capacity at the eco. I thought that V-12 would hit it out of the ball park.. ? That means it's less efficient than the previous model (V8 absolute) In my opinion.. It's not worth changing for a new less efficient model. Thanks for the evaluation It help me make my decision.
ОтветитьI've seen 5-6 reviews of this product, this is by far the most scientific review I've seen and I love it! Best of luck for this channel!
ОтветитьThank you for reviewing
ОтветитьHey I am a freelance video editor and animator from Nepal. I have experties in editing videos related to tech reviews. Would you consider giving me a chance to work with you? If yes then please give me a response.
ОтветитьMy new Dyson V12 arrived today, so glad I watched your video, the best I've seen in terms of test and analyst.
ОтветитьIncredibly helpful!! I really appreciate all the comparison tables.
ОтветитьThanks. Great review!
ОтветитьI have owned the V12 for 2 years and I strongly discourage anyone considering buying it. The vacuum works fine, but Dyson does not stock replacement parts. During my entire ownership, the replacement filter has not once been in sock once and now Dyson doesn’t even list it for purchase on their website.
ОтветитьMe too
ОтветитьThe v12 changed my mind about dyson. It works. Very well. The laser thing...works. The powerhead...works. The only gripe. It fills the dist canister fast. Real fine dust, hair and esp pet hair from even clean carpet. The two heads fit well to the wall unit too.
ОтветитьMy husband asked what do I want for my 76th birthday, I said a Dyson V12 Slim Vacuum, he said but you have 5 vacuums, I told him not like this cordless lightweight magic broom 😂
ОтветитьDoes this V12 automatically change suctionbetween hard floors & carpet?
ОтветитьNew to Dyson but just bought a v15 detect. A couple things I learned for others debating between the two
There are $10 trigger locks for the v15 that change it to on/off instead of the pull trigger. They slide right on with no modification. So if the trigger is holding you back, there’s a solution.
The v12 being a slim model doesn’t work with all heads from other models. If you have multiple dysons it may be worth consideration.
I contemplated returning the v15 for the v12 but really like the extra size bin and extra power. I’m a 40yo guy that stands 6’3 but also has a bad back and carpel tunnel in my right hand. I would definitely appreciate a lighter model but the v15 has been great so far. Might get one of the smaller models later on for daily use and keep the v15 for full house cleans. Costco has the v15 on sale often for around $550 usd with 90 day returns.
