We may not be tops in everything anymore! But Hollywood never fails to entertain!
ОтветитьThank you for posting this movie. I've been looking for it for years to see again. This is without a doubt Lizabeth Scott's best performance movie.
ОтветитьEven then they still didn’t have the tech for good backdrops. How weird the actors had to act while there is a projector screen.
ОтветитьOk, that was a bizarre movie. Enjoyed it though. Thanks
ОтветитьA rather interesting view of “beauty is only skin deep.” Two women who are identical in looks but in nothing else because the “copy” was just that: a superficial imitation.
ОтветитьQuite entertaining. I love Paul!❤
ОтветитьThis was a silly movie. I laughed most of the way through it.
ОтветитьYeah sure, but Andre Morell makes every film better, AND! The London Philharmonic Orchestra?
Be still my heart.
🎉😂🎉
Flat ending but Lizbeth Scott was enjoyable to watch.
ОтветитьExcellent movie and Lisabeth Scott did a fantastic job!!
ОтветитьCan you please add closed captions??? Thank you.🙏 I guess you forgot to put on.

ОтветитьThere should have been somebody with a Pez dispenser in front
ОтветитьThis was a great movie thank you so much
ОтветитьGood movie. Same face. Different personalities. You cannot disguise what your heart holds. The truth reveals itself in our behaviors.
ОтветитьThis is early work by future Hammer stalwart Terence Fisher. Its a nice tight melodrama which is no surprise as Fisher cut his teeth as an editor. Also you may notice future screenwriter Jimmy Sangster credited as Assistant Director. Fisher, Sangster and Anthony Hinds would go on to collaborate in some of the most legendary Horror films ever made. This movie can be seen as a percursor or warm up to Curse of Frankenstein which got the whole Gothic cycle going. Henreid is a bit stilted here but Lizabeth Scott more than offsets him. Love this movie I'd give it 4/5 stars.
ОтветитьWHAT DOES A " GOD", HAVE TO DO WITH THIS VIDEO? HOW ABSURD. ESPECIALLY DURING WORLD WAR 11, MANY COUPLES FELL IN LOVE QUICKLY. IT'S BECAUSE THE YOUNG MEN NEEDED SOMEONE TO COME HOME TO. BOOST THEIR MORAL, SO TO SPEAK. MOST WOMEN WANTED TO BE MOTHERS& HOME MAKERS. ALOT OF THOSE MARRIAGES LASTED TO THEIR DEATHS. ALOT MORE THAN I CAN SAY FOR THE LAST 50YRS! FOR MYSELF, NEVER BEEN MARRIED. JUST A THEORY I HAVE. 🫂
Ответитьwhoa!
ОтветитьGreat movie, Cop-Out / premature ending
ОтветитьPig male lion with a twist......ya shouldn't fool with muther nature
ОтветитьDad had a 1950 Rolls Royce decades ago. People stared everywhere we went in it 😉
ОтветитьWell! That worked out well for the Two of Them, now didn't it?
ОтветитьHer hair was Beautiful ❤
ОтветитьSo he lays his head on her chest? Where is his stephascope?
ОтветитьWhat a marvelous film. I love the old movies. Liz Scott is a great actress and very beautiful! Thank you for putting it on😊
ОтветитьRip Grandma 🙏🏼🥰🫶🏼I love these movies as they remind me of you! 🥰🥹❤️👼💫
ОтветитьLizabeth Scott did an excellent job of playing dual roles. As for the rest of the movie........................
ОтветитьOne reason we love these movies r the incredible live orchestra sound tracks.
ОтветитьThis movie is so funny I love the look on her face when she stole that fur she steals for the thrill
ОтветитьIn my opinion they got lazy about the ending and I felt that they rushed it
ОтветитьWonderful movie made even better by the nice and clear print. I love these old b/w classic movies, but sometimes the copies are of poor quality and you strain your eyes trying to keep up with what's what and who's who. 🎦
ОтветитьThat was a Crackerjack of a picture. This film was well made.
ОтветитьLizbeth Scott was totally underrated actress. Love her movies...she has the perfect film noir looks.
ОтветитьShe looks like Lauren Bacall
ОтветитьGreat movie ❤
ОтветитьWow. That was dark.
ОтветитьAlice's hubby David was played by André Morell, who played Sextus in "Ben-Hur" starring Charlton Heston (1959)
ОтветитьLOW VOLUME. NOT ALL, BUT MANY OLD MOVIES HAVE A LOW VOLUME. tHE ADS ARE LOUD. iS THERE A WAY TO INCEASE VOLUME ON SOME OF THESE OLD GREAT MOVIES?
Ответитьthanks for uploading
ОтветитьGreat movie starring the queen of noir!
ОтветитьAfter operating on her face, she never played the piano again😅
ОтветитьI mean, what did he think would happen…you can’t make a person into what you want .. it’s crazy to begin with!
ОтветитьWhat he did was horrible he’s a bit of a psycho too making her into the other woman…
ОтветитьNot bad it's a 6
ОтветитьGreat film 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
ОтветитьTHANK YOU very much for uploading this bodacious "blast from the past" for us to enjoy ! Lily should have watched out for that first step off the train. It was a lulu ! To be honest, I had never heard of this independent American/British co-production before now. Ms Scott & Mr Henreid are two of my favorite stars from Hollywood's Golden Age. And til now I thought I'd seen or at least heard of every film they'd appeared in. I enjoyed it very much ! Noir is my favorite movie genre & this was certainly a gem. CHEERS !
ОтветитьI can't believe I never heard or have seen this before....this precedes Vertigo, Sisters, Obsession...all of which had elements of this film...
ОтветитьThat's max for volume ?
ОтветитьExcellent movie! Love the actors and story. Thanks
