The Walking Dead 9x05 - Negan Begs Maggie To Kill Him

It’s kinda weird that Glenn was my favorite character and then in this scene I low key feel bad for him

I dunno how anybody could consider mercy with him.

This shows that death is not always a punishment. Death is a reward sometimes. Negan learned what he did was wrong and he paid for that and changed

Theres no good or bad in the walking dead rick and co has also killed people they did not need to

Negan was really trying his hardest to antagonize Maggie to get her to kill him

It never occurred to anyone that punishment was worse than killing Negan.

I think she was losing it but she found her humanity

he should have stayed in that cell for the rest of his god damn life

No one ever talks about how long term solitary confinement is torture and wrong. Even those im solotary confinement are let outside under supervision...they are basically torturing him for years. How is that a better way. As much as i hate old negan and how he treated both men and women
..he could at least have been working in a garden, or doing construction SOMETHING to help the communities he hurt.

And Maggie realized in that moment that the Negan she came to kill for her love, was beyond dead because he had lacked love for so long and just wanted it all to be over and she realized that Rick left him alive because he new Negan would look into himself and see a monster and wanted the person he took everything from to finally kill him to release him from his guilt and his shattered outlook on the world

Man hats off to maggie for not being fooled by Negan’s words in this scene.

If he wanted to die, either fight Maggie and take a beating or escape and get shot down? Plot armour is quite something

Actually Negan is already defeated by killing his men done by Rick and company that's scene started his downfall

There is a word that Negan caused the show to drop in quality... idk about that, I havent watched it, but all I do is watching Negan scenes from TWD and the sequel series.

He thought by goading her she’d immediately kill him. The facade broke down right when she started questioning his current state. I could never get on board with them trying to make Negan a redeemed character, but this added a much needed level of depth to him.

The comic version of this I found to be better then the shows here, this interaction of him begging her to kill him happens way later when he is out on his own and out of the cell. This is near the time part of our group meets Princess

Wow, this is a brilliant scene that I had never watched! "You're already worse than dead" is a great line from Maggie! 10/10 scene.

Even as a prisoner Negan's big brain tries to rile Maggie to kill him in anger because he desperately wants to die and knows she’s not entirely sure herself. The guy's a born manipulator

Maggie couldn't kill Negan, because in this scene, he is already dead...like she said: I came to kill Negan, you are already worse than dead, that settles it...

You weren’t going to be with her after death Negan.

If Maggie had killed Negan here, it would have been an additional trauma for Michonne, Daryl and Maggie, because with this deception, they would have betrayed him and Carl's ideas the day Rick died.

Rick didn't lie when he told Negan he was gonna kill him. Nothing worse than killing a person's spirit.
