Evergrey: Theories of Emptiness - New Album Review! PROG METAL

I never got into them as well...they are competent, but never challenging.

I can't get into these guys, though I did like this better than the last. I feel like there must be something wrong with me because a lot of people I follow just love this band.

I liked it but not as much as A Heartless portrait and Escape of the phoenix.

I love Evergrey but I hated this album. There's a few ok spots but it mostly either comes off as boring or downright annoying.

Hi on first listen, I was in the same boat but on next listen it clicked. Catchy but not challenging, which I guess I dont mind. You always know what yoir gonna get with Evergrey. I guess melodic comfort metal with a tinge of melancholy and some prog. I will also note I prob had same reaction to the last few releases. I do like how they take a groove and run with it such as on "Say".
