Cubs need a closer please
ОтветитьChicago is a dead zone for sports right now. No one wants to come there.
ОтветитьHoyer is a train wreck joke bull shit artist! Every player in our lineup is varying levels of average!
ОтветитьWheres kaps OTIS????? KAP is a Jackaloon. TAKE THAT !!!!!!!
ОтветитьAre the SCRUBS STILL ALIVE???????? LOL Its right where they should be.
ОтветитьI get tired of hearing that bs about not being able to spend for great talent smh
ОтветитьI don't see any stars in Milwaukee as well, but guess what, they still won the division, again. Explain that to me.
ОтветитьThink of a lineup with Schwarbs, Castellanos, Harper, Suzuki, Bellinger??? Dang. Now, would they have signed some players if they had the others? Probably not but that's a lot of firepower.
ОтветитьThe Swarber thing I'll never get over because he was non tendered for 3 mil? Disgraceful.
ОтветитьKyle Schwarber and Nick Castellanos were once Cubs. Imagine them still being Cubs.
ОтветитьRemember when Schwarber played for us?
ОтветитьMaybe Jed Hoyer isn’t the Cubs’ answer? If Cubs would’ve kept Schwarber and signed Harper and kept Rizzo who knows how many rings the Cubs would have obtained?
ОтветитьRicketts will never win because they don't care
ОтветитьCubs did not want Castellanos back. The roster decisions after 2016 have been largely awful and some of that goes back to Epstein.
ОтветитьWhat do you mean kap we have the great all star Dansby Swanson
ОтветитьYup!
ОтветитьAgree 100% with Mr. Kap’s commentary. Cub front office and ownership should be listening. This is the collective voice of the Cubs fans. Fire Jed Hoyer now!
Ответитьit's depressing being a Chicago sports fan on all fronts. everyone Chicago team is super cheap in a major market. i dont understand it.
ОтветитьJust weird that beer league softball hitting that home run against the Cubs oh well biblical loses right Flipper the Jock sniffer take that !
ОтветитьJust wait till next year when they solve their closer problem by recycling Alzolay . That'll waste another couple of months right off the bat . And then they'll plug in Hendricks again and add one of their assortment of sore armed overhyped prospects for the 4 and 5 spots . Watch for them to bring up Madrigal as their swing man on the infield and bingo we're good to go . Jed is just so smart .
ОтветитьAmen
ОтветитьThey get 34,000 on a school night on a Monday against Oakland Cub fans will never boycott they're all dummies
ОтветитьCubs fall to 80-77. Under Ross they were 83-79. Adding Counsell did what again? S.O.S.
ОтветитьIt will have been 8 years since the Cubs won the NL central full of small market teams (2020 doesn’t count). What is Hoyer afraid of with spending on stars?
ОтветитьI’m not asking the cubs to spend money like the Dodgers. All I ask is they get 1 to 2 good closers.
ОтветитьIt's pathetic that we have to put up with this same crap year after year. It's absolutely sickening. Don't look for anything to get any better with the idiots that run this team either.
ОтветитьWe got an owner that I think is more worried about lining his pockets we Cubs fans shouldn't stand for that I know this won't happen don't show up to the ballpark send a message
ОтветитьHey Kap, did you happen to see Jayden Daniels tonight? Played lights out amazing. Just saying.
ОтветитьThe Cubs do spend money - just on the wrong players. You want real improvement - get rid of Jed, bring in a completely new regime.
ОтветитьIf that's how it went down with Bryce Haper than that explains everything.
Well said Kap. There are teams that want to win and then there is the mediocre Cubs
Counsell is flooding the zone now with all the scrubs from the farm: Vazquez, Pearson, Kilian, Hollowell(two of the last three brought up today….Counsell must’ve missed the combined ERA of 18.46….I had to use Hollowell’s 2023 ERA because he didn’t have one for this season). He also used notables: Wisdom, Mastrobuoni, and Tauchman against a possible World Series winner. Whatever. There’s nothing left for you to blog about, KAP. Anyone over .500 will beat the Cubs in all likelihood. The Cubs could finish fittingly in fourth if they play true to form the remaining five games. Bring on the farm, Craig.
ОтветитьThe Cubs spent money. They have the 9th largest payroll in baseball. Brewers have the 23rd. The problem is they spent money on the wrong players. What "stars" are on the Brewers? Adames and Contreras, maybe. Diamondbacks have the 17th largest payroll, and they have blown as many saves as the Cubs and they're in the playoffs, too. I'll give Counsell a pass for his first year, but he's no Lou Pinella that's for sure. The players need to step up. I give Jed credit for signing Imanaga, but I won't be sad if Jed is fired and Carter, too. They won't be missed.
ОтветитьKyle has been pretty good since they got rid of him
ОтветитьHarper wanted to be a Cub and Castellanos did NOT wanna leave the Cubs. Hell, I’m sure Schwarber wanted to stay too. It’s maddening knowing that and watching all 3 succeed in Philly.
ОтветитьI'm less bothered by the loss than them doing this 'opener' bull with Pearson. Either you have a starter or you don't. I have no idea how you'd word the rule, but I'd love to see this 'opener' trend banned.
ОтветитьBoycott Wrigley Fields now! Who b carin? Wirlin verlin breakdancer froms Crestwood IL do. Amysully wat up dog? Cubbies gots no heart. Loveable losers forever b done. Next year b da sames ting. 🤘🃏🎸🥃🍺🤤🪦🥳😂🤣🇺🇲
ОтветитьRicketts thinks he is a winner, made enough money on the Cubs to buy Chelsea! We have ourselves another Bill Wrigley, he didn’t care about winning Championships either. Pathetic organization, I’m 67, and I probably won’t see another World Series winning Cubs team. Really sad they don’t want to put in the effort to winning on the field as well as the bank.
ОтветитьKap was ecstatic when Happ, Suzuki, Swanson, and Bellinger all were signed.
Now he's a victim because they were signed
You just answered yourself, Kap... phillies owner brought in Dombrowski and opened up the wallet more bec he is committed to winning the WS and Tom is committed to "We'll be good again"... if Tom was committed to winning amother WS he would have been happy to spend well over the Tax again in 2017 and make sure his team had a legit lead-off hitter to replace Dexter(or get creative w him) and an 8th inning set-up man to go w Wade Davis...Those 1st 2 Dodger games were there for the taking in LA and back to Wrigley where Jake won his game... but no, let's leave the team short 1-2 players every year...Yeah, we'll be good again, Tom
ОтветитьSo we extend Happ who isn’t consistant & but non tender Schwarber. Yea ok.
ОтветитьThey spend Kap They don't spend it right.
Ответить“ smart money “ ain’t working
ОтветитьThe Cubs need Soto or next year will look like this year which looked like last year.
ОтветитьTom Ricketts = Chicago's John Fisher
ОтветитьYeah they don’t have any stars and won’t ever get any stars. It will be the same old story next year. But come February everyone will be excited and talk themselves into the cubs being a playoff team.
ОтветитьBut the cubs don't play the kids, they just get washed vets for a premium
ОтветитьBetter luck next year cubs bad season need a closer and a power bat and bullpen help as well take that
ОтветитьCubs are too comfy kicking back on the couch in October.
ОтветитьAnd the fact that the cubs had two of them 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Ответить
