have used one of those they are circular saws with a biscuit jointer base plate sort of. you can cut through nails as long as they aren’t hardened like ramset impact tool nails.

milwaukee fat sharpie sitting flat on the ground. mark the trim that line is the perfect amount. hit it with the vibrator and boom. that’s just how we’ve always done it. all i need for any cutting work is that good old vibrator.

Been doing flooring and remodeling for a while and just found out there’s a saw solely for jambs immediately my Multi tool that I use at every excuse looked at me like a jealous girlfriend 😂😂 but fr I could see the use if you’re doing high volume flooring other than that I’m not buying a whole power saw for jamb cuts

Years ago had a boss using one these hit a bolt behind the casing that saw almost launched across the room

If a recipro saw meant for wood cuts through nails like butter then these saws should be perfectly fine.

I hate doing this. Little tip tho, run your room clockwise so the teeth of the saw are digging in instead of pulling out. Leaves a cleaner cut, less clean up/ touch up. Looks good man. Hate to see lvp in so many homes these days tho

Pretty sure there are blades that can cut through wood/metal. If a mitre has blades like that then I don’t see why it can’t be applied to this.
