After watching one of your recent videos I wanted to know more, so I've just binged watched all your episodes. I've laughed, I've cried, I've cried with laughter. It's such a joy to watch all your shenanigans, and seeing the transformation in Bonny is so heartwarming. How lovely you found each other. The one thing I realised while watching all the videos, I've never tasted rum, never knew there were so many different flavours. Anyway, thanks for being such an awesome being and sharing it all. It's been a while since you fitted the hybrid battery setup. How have you found it? Any issues? I bought a LiPo a year ago and still not sure if I should fit it or not. Can you give us an update please.

Another lovely vlog, Heidi. While that was not the quickest way to travel through a swing bridge, it certainly was a good way to get an unexpected workout!

The destination is not important when there are friends along the way (OK, if you have a deadline to meet...). The photographs from Ireland looked lovely.

Another recipe for you to try

GINGER AND DATE CAKE

250 g/8 oz butter
250 g/8 oz dark muscovado sugar
112 g black treacle (put tin on scales, remove treacle until the scales read 112 g less than they did when you started)
375 g/12 oz plain flour
5 teaspoonsful ground ginger
2 teaspoonsful ground cinnamon
2 teaspoonsful ground mixed spice
1 packet Whitworth’s Fiery Ginger (chopped crystallised ginger) (chopped again)
1 packet Whitworth’s chopped dates
2 eggs. Beaten
300 ml/1/2 pint milk
2 teaspoonfuls bicarbonate of soda

Line two large loaf tins, or similar capacity cake tins.

Heat oven to 160 c, gas mark 3

Put the butter, sugar and treacle into a heavy pan and heat gently, stirring occasionally, until smooth. Allow to cool a little

Mix together flour and spices, pour in treacle mixture, stir thoroughly. Add ginger and dates, stir eggs into the mixture.

Warm the milk, stirring to avoid it burning. Add the bicarbonate of soda, and let it foam. Stir it into the mixture, making sure it is all well blended.

Pour into the prepared tins, and bake until it is springy, or a skewer comes out clean, approximately one hour.

Ah yes, you should do those swing bridges and everything else in life the best way for you, what speaks to you, you know that! 🙂 But fascinating that the river/canal folks don't make it easier for single-handers to do swing bridges. What the heck are they thinking?
Oh that sunset was gorgeous, you could sell photos of it with your boat there on the canal, how delicious.

but heidi sells it from her hold when rum whench is at leisure,
theres everything a swabber needs to live the pirate way,
the lubbers scoot to buy her loot and often chat all day,
with first mate bonny on the deck they savour every trade,
with a rum to warm the cockles, cheered by all the mates they made,
then its off to start the party with decks and speakers thumpin',
she'll keep the good times rollin',and the land lubbers a jumpin',
she'll dish up loads 'o'badges with a giggle on each one,
to raise a smile, its just her style, like having lots'o'fun,
another tit'o'rum those cockles have to stay well warmed up,
then its back to take the helm for more adventures with the sun up,
she'll take you along for company on another ventures path,
you know shes up for fun coz she can always make you laugh,
with hearty cheer you never fear her smile will raise a grin,
for after all another rum will keep the summer fast within,
she never tires of places new, or bonnys frequent frolicks,
ask her if a pirates life is hard, shell always tell you...
"no way, its a great life, have a tit'o'rum mate".
