DJI & ZF KILLER - Polini EP3+ MX

After the launch of the DJI Avinox and the ZF Centrix powerful ebike motors at Eurobike 2024, the hype was painful to watch. We have tested and tried many motors and know that there are better more realistic options out there.

Polini with their 90NM (bench tested) 250W powerful EP3+ MX Motor have offered for years an Ebike motor that can be repaired plus preserves the life and value of an EMTB. Weight comes in at around 2900 grams. We tested with an 880Wh battery using the E-Crown Performante RS Ebike.

I take a close look at the latest version and test it uphill at the FIM Ebike world Championships in Sestriere high in the alps.
