Absolutely hate that rev hang is a thing on so many new cars. Glad that it can be removed in some of them. M4 is cool but that 911 will do right by you ;)
ОтветитьLess power, manual, only rwd? Odd BMW did that
ОтветитьI like the m3 cs better than m4
ОтветитьI used to hate the look esp that grill but now I think it is one of the best looking cars ever made (not super car) 10/10 masterpiece
ОтветитьP r o m o s m 😇
ОтветитьWhy didn’t BMW give the manual the same horsepower as the competition?
ОтветитьThe 1st to 2nd shift is no problem at all, you just have to shift it a little earlier. I own a G82 M4 Manual and it is completely more satisfying to drive than the Competition and so too the previous M4, which I also owned. The new G82 is the classiest M3/4 since the original.
ОтветитьWas it lowered? Which springs were used ?
ОтветитьI don’t see anything ugly about it
ОтветитьProbably grabbing one of these next. The only question is… manual or competition? 🤑
ОтветитьI hate the grille much worse today than at launch. Venetian blinds testes shape. What a joke.
ОтветитьI have a ‘21 G80 M3 with 16.78k miles as of now. Around 11k miles I needed a new transmission and got it for free under warranty. It was faulty I guess. I posted it on the bimmerpost forum
ОтветитьWrong! The M2 is the ugliest car by a long shot. The sad part is that I still might buy it because it’s a better platform than the supra
ОтветитьAdro is most likely the reason why I'll be picking up a G82... Of course a manual even though it won't put the power down like an xdrive
ОтветитьWould a comeback to hydraulic steering fix the numbness?
Ответить🍩
ОтветитьEvery statement of reviewer is full of contradictions. It took me a couple of drives to get the hang d 1-2 shift. Lots of BS here.
Ответитьyou not a car guy when u whine to clean your wheels
ОтветитьThe secret apparently is to delete the pressure control valve from your clutch lining. Ive had an f80 with a manual and it drove exactly the same way. Interestingly so did my old e90 sedans 328i.
I do still have an e92 m3 that is actually a dct. So, with that being said i love my g80 thus far! If i could go to a porsche gt3 i would, but my funds wont allow me lol.
Rev hang ruined all modern day manual cars. Anyone who says otherwise, doesn’t have a current manual
ОтветитьHello!
About 2 weeks ago, I bought a 2023 M4 6 sp manual in Portimao Blue. I absolutely love the car. It is more eye catching than my E46 M3, in my opinion. Even the grill does not phase me. This car just does not present well in pictures and media print. When you're actually next to it, it is somewhat beautiful in the way the whole car is sculpted. It is unlike most any car. It's just fabulous when you see it in person.
Couple questions….
Does the F80 manual have this rev hang also?
What Adro mods did you do to this M4?
For the amount people pay for these cars, it baffles me that adaptive cruise control isn't standard. I learned that after I bought my BMW. So pissed. Base model camry's come equipped with adaptive cruise control for freaks sake.
Ответитьfor gear 1 to 2 shift.. best to change gears between 3500 to 4000 rpm ... for other gears anthing from 4000 rpm
ОтветитьYea you only dislike the new display cos you don't have one. If you did, it actually looks cool...but who really cares when you doing 100+ miles/hour on the high way and have your apple play as permanent feature on the display.
ОтветитьI’ve owned 911s and other BMWs but I love my 2025 M3 manual. The 1st to 2nd shift is perfect but has to be done with some intention. This car is not meant to be soft peddled. You need to be pushing into second, not tying to just soft drop it into 2nd.
ОтветитьIt is my least favourite thing about my M3. The 1st to 2nd shift thing. The car has enough torque to start in second if you want but the first to second kind of sucks. But it is what it is. The car has supercar performance pretty much. It dynos at probably around 530hp with good quality petrol. It is extremely composed at super high speeds and can turn on a dime at ungodly speeds. For just about $600 you can buy a race chip and bump that up to almost 650hp/550ft-lbs torque and the race chip is really well done. Power is spread out so the character of the car doesn't change. And with more torque you get more fuel economy as well (they say 15% better or there abouts). The steering feedback is not the best but the car is super accurate. You can place it wherever you want (feel aside).
I don't disagree with your list of downsides. I would just like to add that a Porsche, at least where I live, is double the price at base level. A 911 base is 160k. I paid 106k for my manual M3 and it was mostly fully loaded (picked my own paint, upgraded the wheels to those same wheels you have on yours (826m I think), got the premium package, removed the speed limiter with the m drivers' pack etc. Just didn't 'get the carbon package or ceramic brakes. If I did any of that on the baseline 911 the price would quickly jump to 200 grand. Love Porsche but that's called taking the piss. Good luck to them. For nearly a 100 grand savings I'll have to put up with the first to second thing I guess.
