The Boy, the Heavenly Child. Absolutely divine
ОтветитьThere's elements of this piece that remind me of a song Ryuichi Sakamoto wrote..
ОтветитьNothing beats female singers, must be because of human nature consoling a crying baby. John Ireland is a musical saint and the ladies did him proud. Could do with little compression perhaps as somewhat shrill at the forte sections.
ОтветитьThis used to be played by our music teacher on the piano as we filed into school assembly. I loved it but didn’t find out until years later what it was and who wrote it.
ОтветитьBeautiful
ОтветитьMan y’all need to stop stealin are name
ОтветитьBeautiful singing of a text that is so lovely and profound.
ОтветитьWho disliked this?? This is perfection
ОтветитьBeautiful.
ОтветитьBeautiful, inarticulate letter-box mouth singing.
ОтветитьAnd this group doesn't pre-record, ever. Sublime perfection. 💯
ОтветитьI’ve played and loved the Holy Boy for many years, originally written on Christmas Day by John Ireland. So beautifully sung in unison, as it should be! I’ve become a great fan of Trinity College Choir, and I look forward to hearing you live in Cambridge when things return to normality. Thank you for singing this iconic English music.
ОтветитьThis instantly becomes the definitive performance. (Aled Jones may at long last step aside.) Am loving the use of the chapel space in these videos. And I can't remember if I have ever heard such a beautiful and perfect unison. It redefines what's possible in the choral art.
ОтветитьBeautiful
ОтветитьI´ve never been aware of this piece before. A little lacking in vocal harmony for my taste. Beautifully sung though and Team Hinnit, Peacock and Nicholson are doing a fine job. Keep it up guys!
ОтветитьLovely. 🎶
